Not a coincidence that she won this awrd just before her prerecorded performance AND the following commercial was starring her for Rhapsody. I have never seen this Swift video but I know for sure every single person in the world between 5-45 has caught a glimpse of Single Ladies a number of times. How many copy cats have STUDIED the dance, look on Youtube yourself. That was Beyonce’s award and MTV GAVE it to Swift. She didn’t earn it. MR WEST MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! What a sad and pathetic human being. There is no reason to call Kanye West rude names or slander him with insults. His behavior is insult enough to both his fans, himself, and his family. I can only hope that the fall out from his remarks last night will result in him being black listed from celebrity events and future award shows. Not that he was ever deserving of invites to high profile events in the past, that is.
Look–I accept, and concede, that it is too much to expect that a so-called “hip hop “artist” should possess any form of manners befitting a proper gentleman. I cannot contest this. And yet I still feel accurate in my estimation that… what Kanye West did last night was beyond the pale, even by the slipshod standards of his own degenerate subculture.

It is perfectly fine that Kanye felt that way. Regardless, it was not the time to say what he said. Taylor did not win video of the year, she won best female video. It also did not matter whether the results were fixed or not, he did not have to downplay her in that form. She’s only 19 and had nothing to do with the results of that particular category. That was rude and insulting and only makes him look like a jackass. Beyonce is indeed accomplished but she has been in the game a while. He soooo did not have to still Taylor’s thunder…

Correct me if I am wrong but dont the FANS determine who wins the VMAs? Is it not fans calling in and voting on their faves? So if MTV is going to put TAYLOR SWIFT’s music videos in rotation on MTV then why would anyone question whether or not she should be nominated for any award? Obviously they put her on the ballot for a reason. They thought she did something to be nominated for. Maybe nobody thought she would get so many votes, but she did. Even if the fans did not vote for her obviously whoever made the decision felt Taylor deserved it. Im not saying Beyonce did not have a good video, she did, but obviously the people who voted chose Taylor. All of the nominees were great choices. Personally I would have chosen Beyonces IF I WERE A BOY as the nomination for best video as I preferred it much more because of the storyline and the twists in turns. Beyonce put a lot of choreography energy into a video and it was recognized. I don’t think it was the “best videos of all time” but it does have some measure. As a person who dances and does choreography, we used music from allt he artists that were nominated. I have always liked Beyonce & Destinys Child and I love their videos/music. But I also like Taylor Swift. I think everyone can identify with Taylors music. Look at her lyrics and tell me you can’t identify somehow with what she writes and sings about? Kanye should not have interupted Taylor. He is entitled to his opinion but he should have delt witht he situation better. Nobody is going to take him serious and he is getting more than he should be given on this subject. He has made his “apologies” but seriously would he really be making them if everyone wasnt calling him an a**hole for what he did to a 19 year old who didn’t do anything to him? He may be sorry for what he did, but honestly Im not sure that he is. Would he be so quick to call Beyonces video the best of all time if HE had won the VIDEO of the YEAR? Would he have given his award to Beyonce if he had won it? I doubt it! It is an award, it doesnt define you. It is a nice accomplishment especially if it is FAN based voting, but you will not die if you dont get an award. You are nominated and thats an accomplishment. Kanye is getting his karma. He is alientaing his friends and music industry family. How many people of the industry are backing him up? How many people in the industry are going to be so quick to work on a project with him? He may have some inner issues he needs to deal with and maybe if his friends and family reach out to him they can help him and he wont do the things he has been doing or saying. Kanye has talent and people do like his music (yes i like his music because i like all music). But all this personal drama he has going on with him is just leading him down a path much to where we saw with Michael Jackson in the last years. His music and talent will be lost because of all the BS. But I dont think the phoenix will rise for Kanye in the same capacity as it has for MJ.
