A pregnant woman, Julia Grovenburg, from Arkansas from out she was actually pregnant again after a routine ultrasound. These babies are not twins because they are at different developmental stages. Doctors estimate the babies were conceived about two and half weeks apart.

This is an extremely rare condition called superfetation, or conceiving while pregnant, there have only been 10 documented cases. Dr. Karen Boyle of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, said, “The interesting thing in this case is if these children were actually born on their due dates, the older child would be born at the end of 2009, and the younger child would be born in the beginning of 2010.”
