Derrion Albert Video Uncut (Graphic): Student Beaten To Death
A 16 year-old honor student named Derrion Albert was beaten to death on his way to a bus stop while going home from school, the Christian Fenger Academy High school, located on Chicago’s South Side on Thursday (September 24).
Derrion’s fatal beating was caught on tape (watch video below) and three students were arrested (Silvanus Shannon, 19; Eric Carson, 16; and Eugene Riley, 18) and charged with first degree murder. The honor student was just an “innocent bystander” caught in the middle of a street fight between two factions of students at his school.

This is not an isolated incident. The past two years in this city there has been a war declared on kids here. man i cried when i saw this like he was my family or something that was some bogust ass shit they killed him over nothin man they beat him wit 2 by fours and jumped on him i mean he aint deserve none of that i dont know him but i wish his family the best rip derrion chicago gets worser and worser as the days go by they all deserve the death penalty in my opinion
its really sad to see our young brothers have to end life so soon over nonsense.it makes you wonder were are the parents.it really makes me said when i see the video of how young derrion spent his last moments of life its so sad.my heart goes out to his loved ones your all in my prayers n remember god loves you.for the young men who did this your also in my prayers you all have ended your lives as well as you took derrions.god bless chicago

My comment is to the family as well as those young men who are out there gangbanging. First, to the family, may God guide you through this difficult time. You had done what you were suppose to do in raising a fine young man. Keep your head to the the sky for God’s daily blessings as you strive day to day for understanding. To the young men that are out there gangbanging, it is really sad that this is all you have to do. We have a Black President in 2009 and you all are still acting a damn fool. What are you fighting for? You don’t have no territory. You don’t own any property, so I guess you are fighting for a street corner. You all need God in your life bigtime. You need to pray daily everyday for God’s forgiveness as well as the families. Several lives have been destroyed, Derrion’s, his family and yours being spent in jail. Although I did not know this young man, I feel as if I did. I have a son that’s 18 and I would not want anything to happen to him.

Ugh, I think about this a lot now. Now all he is, is just another statistic which is like a never ending cycle in chicago. It hurts my heart to know that your child is not even safe around school anymore. I would love to make a foundation in “Derrion’s” name. He deserves it. I use to be around that type of environment and to be honest it effects your every move. Chicago needs help and my prayers go out to his family and other souls lost to senseless violence by senseless others.
