The new star of “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” Kandi Burruss’ fiancé Ashley “A.J.” Jewell suffered a “severe blow to the head” in an altercation in the parking lot of Atlanta strip club The Body Tap Club last Friday (October 2) and later died in the hospital. Ashley Jewell was 34 years old.

Kandi, who has had numerous disagreements with her mother on the show regarding her relationship with Jewell, was completely devastated with the news and tweeted, “I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for A.J.’s children … that’s who i’m the most concerned for. I’m about to give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just wanted to say thanks two everyone for their prayers.”

Frederick Richardson, a strip club employee, has been arrested and charged with the voluntary manslaughter of A.J. Jewell but Atlanta police continues to investigate since the motive for the crime isn’t clear.

According to the latest reports, the cause of death is undetermined pending toxicology reports, which led to speculation that A.J. may have had a pre-existing condition like a cardiac problem that may have contributed to his death.
