Steve Phillips Fired By ESPN After Sex Scandal (Details & Photos)
The former General Manager of the New York Mets Steve Phillips has been fired from his job as a baseball analyst at ESPN after admitting he had a torrid and creepy affair with an ESPN assistant (read more details), Brooke Hundley (photos).
Steve Phillips, who started working for ESPN back in 2004, released a statement to announce he would take a long leave of absence to solve his personal issues but it seems like ESPN doesn’t want him anymore. Phillips’ ability to work as an effective analyst was “significantly and irreparably damaged,” said ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz.
