ESPN Bob Griese Suspended For Racist Remark (VIDEO)
ESPN broadcaster Bob Griese has been suspended for one week due to a racist comment he made about NASCAR Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya during the Minnesota-Ohio State game on Saturday (October 24).
The top five drivers in NASCAR’s points race were being discussed when ESPN analyst Chris Spielman asked, “Where was Montoya?” to which Bob quickly responded, “Out having a taco.” [watch video below]
ESPN’s rep claims that Bob “understands the comment was inappropriate” and he has already apologized for the racist remark. Wow, it must be so much fun working at ESPN! It’s all about the drama – naughty analysts having sex with assistants (Steve Phillips!) and bad boys making fun of minorities (bad Griese!!).

What?? That’s considered a racial slur? I could understand him being accused of being a “Homer” for Big-10 teams, but give me a break. Are we all going to have to self censor every word that comes out of our mouths to be PC? Not me! “He must be out having a taco”. I’m guessing race was just about the farthest thing from his mind. What a crock!
