Monica & Rapper Rocko New Reality Show ‘Still Standing’ (Photos)
R&B singer Monica and the father of her two children rapper Rodney Hill Jr. aka Rocko star in a new reality series titled ‘Monica: Still Standing’, which follows Monica’s search for a hit single for her fifth US studio album while balancing her personal life. The show premiered on BET Tuesday (October 27).
Monica said, “It was very scary stepping into the type of situation that would expose me and my life. But I think that there are so many kids now that are aspiring to do exactly what I’ve done and I felt like that was worth me putting myself on the line so they would really understand what it’s like to try and juggle both a music career and personal life.”
Monica is preparing a big comeback with the album ‘Still Standing’ after overcoming the unexpected suicide of her boyfriend Jarvis “Knot” Weems, a local drug dealer and her childhood friend, who put a gun to his head and shot himself right in front of her eyes back in 2000. Monica and Rocko are officially engaged and have two beautiful sons, Rodney III and Romello.
