Taylor Swift Hugs Nazi Swastika Scandal (PHOTOS)

taylor-swift-nazi-symbol-scandal-photos

Country teen sensation Taylor Swift was caught smiling and posing for a photo with her arm around an unknown guy, who had a Nazi swastika drawn on his white t-shirt during Katy Perry’s birthday bash in West Hollywood last weekend.

Taylor’s rep told TMZ, “Taylor took pictures with about 100 people that night … she doesn’t know who this guy is and she didn’t realize what was on his shirt.”

We are sure Taylor wouldn’t have taken this photo if she had noticed the outrageous symbol of hate on this guy’s shirt. However, it is something that might potentially taint her reputation and Taylor does not deserve it.

UPDATE: The “JH” on Taylor’s shirt doesn’t stand for “Jew Hater” but for Julianne Hough, who also had “TS” for Taylor Swift painted on her outfit.

No Taylor doesn’t deserve it at all, I mean, there is no possible way she could know what that symbol represents…..

Seriously? You don’t think she knows what an effing swastika is? Don’t make excuses for her; everyone should be educated regarding Nazi Germany and World War Two. I can gurantee that at almost 20 years old the woman knows what that symbol stood for.

I highly doubt this is a “Nazi” swastika. The swastika symbol has been used in Asia for 2500 years and is on all Buddha statutes throughout Asia. Hitler appropriated it and screwed up the sacred symbology, touting himself as a God-head.

I think it’s important Westerners realize that this symbol is sacred in the East and needs to be better understood. This guy probably does yoga or meditates and thought it would be cool. If this was his intention, than maybe he’s right.

Ultimately, I’m surprised that Taylor’s publicist isn’t well-informed enough to figure that out.

This is an enormous Buddha statue in Hong Kong (the size of a house). It has a swastika in the middle of its chest. It has no political meaning but has sacred spiritual connotations.
