A new really distasteful Halloween Costume named “Illegal Alien”, which includes a alien mask with a green card and an orange jumpsuit with “illegal alien” written across the front, is causing a lot of controversy because it has been considered not only offensive to immigrants but also racist.

“He didn’t just cross a border, he crossed a galaxy!” according to the costume’s description. “He’s got his green card, but it’s from another planet! Sure to get some laughs, the Illegal Alien Adult Costume includes an orange prison-style jumpsuit with ‘Illegal Alien’ printed on the front, an alien mask and a ‘green card.’”

Angelica Salas, executive director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, has written emails to Target stores and costume companies to stop selling the offensive ‘illegal alien’ costume, describing it as “distasteful, mean-spirited, and ignorant of social stigmas and current debate on immigration reform.”

Former ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ daddy Jon Gosselin is being sued by the TLC network for a breach of his contract when he accepted to make several paid and unpaid TV appearances without the network’s permission.

“The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements,” reads a statement released by the network. “Those efforts have been unsuccessful.”

The papers filed for the lawsuit reveal that the same day TLC announced the show would be renamed ‘Kate Plus 8’, Jon’s lawyer demanded that they release Jon, who was still getting a full paycheck, from the “exclusivity contract” and threatened that if they didn’t Jon would block the filming of the show on grounds it was “detrimental to his children.”

Singer Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are reportedly expecting their first child. The happy married life seems to be taking its toll on Mariah since she has been gaining a lot of weight and she was recently spotted with what can be defined as a bulging baby bump (photos below).

The 39 year-old singer told InTouch, “I love where I am in life right now,” and confessed she wants to start a family soon. A source reveals Mariah and Nick have been trying to get pregnant for a year now but that Mariah wants to wait until a little further along to make the official announcement.

I spent most of the next day thinking about what exactly was so shocking about the picture, why there was such an immediate and nasty overreaction. After all, it’s not like I was caught making a sex tape. I certainly didn’t pose nude for Playboy. And I hadn’t even exposed a nipple.

Could it be it’s because I have breasts? Because for those of you who didn’t know, I have two. They’re larger than some women’s and not as big as others. I don’t usually show off my cleavage—as I did in the photos I posted—which I will admit is not the smartest thing I have ever done.

To be honest, I don’t feel that I have anything to feel ashamed of. I’ve always embraced my curves and will continue to do so. I’d rather be the size I am than a skinny model fired for being too fat. And once again, a day after writing about my weight, it’s the media that have a problem with my body.

For years I have struggled to accept the fact that the way I look in a tank top comes off more “sexual” than a flat-chested woman. And once again I was reassured by the media that someone with my cup size should always be covered up. Or what, I’ll be seen as a slut? It’s pathetic we can come so far in so many ways, but when Rep. Aaron Schock or Rep. Jeff Flake post pictures of themselves without their suits on—and their shirts, for that matter—they are proclaimed “hotties.” But put me in a tank top and I am suddenly an embarrassment to the Republican Party and women everywhere. The double standard is infuriating.

6 month-old baby boy survived with minor injuries (just a small bump on his head) an unbelievable incident at the Ashburton train station in Australia. In the security video, the mom is spotted taking her hands off the baby stroller‘s handles for a bit just to watch it roll off the platform just seconds before the train hits the stroller.

“Luckily, he was strapped into his pram at the time, which probably saved his life. I think the child’s extremely lucky,” the paramedic said. “Fortunately the train was slowing as it pulled into the station.”

‘Desperate Housewives’ gardener Jesse Metcalfe recently revealed that filming sex scenes with co-star Eva Longoria was like complete sexual torture and made him “pop a wheelie” in a interview on Jamie White Mornings on 106.5 Sacramento.

Former ‘Bachelor’ star and DWTS finalist Melissa Rycroft has been infected with the dreadful swine flu virus (H1N1) but she is currently in recovery and doing fine. Melissa wants to leave a message to the public that it is easy to beat this virus if you seek immediate medical attention.

“Like most people who become infected, I thought I had a mild case of the common flu, but when my symptoms exacerbated I immediately went to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection,” the 26-year-old reality star said.

“I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor,” Melissa tells Us. “I’m a clear case that by paying diligent attention to your health, it’s easy to overcome this illness and be healthy again.”

Melissa’s fiancé Ty Strickland’s mother, a nurse, convinced her to seek medical attention and that is what might have saved her life. Ty is taking good care of his girl and she is expected to make a quick recovery.

Yes, Katherine Heigl is leaving Grey’s Anatomy but, unfortunately, it is only temporary. On the fifth episode (‘Invasion’) of the sixth season, Izzie Stevens gets too involved with a patient, it clouded her judgment and she ends up making what could be a fatal mistake which leads to her being cut from the staff of Seattle Grace.

Izzy and Mercy West-er Charles (Robert Baker) get paired up on Sarah Freemont, a young woman in desperate need of a kidney transplant and down to her last access point for dialysis. They seem to be getting along swimmingly until Izzy overhears him bragging to his Mercy West friends about her being his “surgical bitch.” In the midst of their troubles, Izzy almost kills patient Sarah by ordering a bum procedure and causing her to code. Bailey manages to save the patient, but because of her troubles she will lose her chance at the transplant kidney she’s been waiting three years for.

Chief has to get down the the nasty business of firing people, and HR insists he use a specific speech because the last person he fired (the pregnant intern) is suing for wrongful termination. Who’s getting the ax? None other than Izzy, who gets chopped for mishandling the kidney transplant patient. Considering she got a total free pass on the LVAD debacle, I can see why she’s surprised. She takes it extremely hard, to the point where she skips town and leaves Alex via a note taped to his locker. I suppose if Meredith and Derek can get married via post it Alex and Izzy can get divorced via a Dear John letter. I do feel horribly sorry for Alex, and Justin Chambers played his reveal scene superbly.

Apparently, this storyline was made especially for Katherine who will be busy filming a new movie project and will return to Grey’s Anatomy in about a month. That is how Diva Katherine rolls! In fact, she is the second highest paid women on primetime (Forbes Top 10), so Katherine can do whatever she wants!

The man who punched Leona Lewis during a book signing in London (details and photos here) was identified as Peter Kowalczyk, a 29 year-old aspiring singer who had auditioned and been rejected on the British talent show ‘The X Factor’ won by Leona back in 2006.

Peter was charged with assault and has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. The 24 year-old ‘Bleeding Love’ singer was forced to cancel a promotional visit to Germany but promised she would soon start rehearsing for her upcoming UK tour that kicks off in London next month.
