Former Playboy model Shauna Sands has to publicly defend her honor once again after the first episode of the new reality show “Leave It To Lamas” hints that she had a sexual relationship with her husband Lorenzo Lamas’ son A.J. Lamas.

Shauna released the following statement: “It turned out the whole first episode of “Leave it to Lamas” revolved around a lie that the Lamas family concocted about me sleeping with my step-son A.J. It is absolutely untrue and I’m sick of being used and ridiculed by this family for the benefit of their show.”

The 38 year-old momma is currently involved in a battle with Vivid Entertainment to try to block the release of her sex tape (read more details). Shauna’s lawyer claims the tape was “not created or intended for sale or public distribution” and that his client never gave permission for its distribution.

Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his Dodgers chief executive wife Jamie McCourt announced their separation after 30 years of marriage on Wednesday (October 14). According to sources, the couple had been fighting a lot lately and working with them had been described as a “living hell”.

“This is a personal matter and they request that their privacy be respected. They will be making no public statements,”  read a release issued by the club late Wednesday.

This announcement has raised questions about the future of the team that is preparing to start the National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Dodger Stadium today (October 15).

The First Lady Of California, Maria Shriver, has finally issued a public apology after being caught several times holding her cell phone while driving (photographic evidence), which is a clear violation of her husband Arnold Schwarzenegger’s hands-free law.

Shriver said, “I’m sorry. I will be donating my favorite old cell phone to my Women’s Conference partner Verizon through their HopeLine program that helps domestic violence shelters. I invite anyone else who wants to recycle their old phone to join me. That’s my version of swift action with a higher purpose.”

Maria will be donating a cell phone that she loves but clearly doesn’t use as a punishment for her actions and most importantly for setting a bad example for all Californians. That’s not exactly ‘swift’ action but anything is a good excuse to help others.

British singer Leona Lewis was attacked and punched hard in the face by a 29 year-old man named Peter, who had bought her new book, an autobiography titled “Dreams”, and seemed to be waiting patiently for her to sign it at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly, London on Wednesday (October 14).

Witness Emily Rose, 21, who was behind him, said: “It was horrendous. He waited for Leona to bow her head then just lashed out – a proper full-on punch on the side of her face. She let out a piercing scream and grabbed her temple. Security piled on this guy and Leona just started running.”

Security quickly pinned the mad fan to the ground as Leona, who burst into tears while clutching her head, was whisked away from the scene and taken to hospital. The man was arrested after being interrogated.

A spokesman for Leona said last night: “It was a totally unprovoked attack. Leona had been patiently signing people’s books for a while – this man had been waiting for five hours. Why anyone would hit her I don’t know. It’s unacceptable. Leona is shaken and apologizes to the fans she was unable to meet.”

The 24 year-old singer rose to fame in 2006 after winning the third series of Simon Cowell’s ‘The X Factor’. In fact, Simon was shocked when he knew about the incident and immediately called Leona to offer his support.

Cincinnati Bengals players joined Mike Zimmer’s family in their last goodbye to the coach’s wife Vikki Zimmer, who reportedly died of natural causes last week (official cause of death is still undetermined), at the Holy Cross-Immaculata Church in Mt. Adams on Tuesday morning (October 13).

The 50 year-old Vikki, an important member of the Bengals family, used to unconditionally support the players and bring them baked cookies. “She’ll be missed for many reasons, not just the snacks — the spirit that she had and the encouraging notes and all the inspirational stuff,” Bengals Safety Roy Williams said on Monday.

The visitation was open to the public but the funeral service was private. Vikki and Mike were married for 27 years and have three children together. R.I.P. Vikki Zimmer.

The 23 year-old model revealed she was fired before the disastrous Ralph Lauren ad came out and she was shocked seeing the digitally altered unhealthy, unrealistic image of herself.

“They fired me because they said I was overweight and I couldn’t fit in their clothes anymore,” she said. “I was shocked to see that super skinny girl with my face,” she told the Daily News. “It’s very sad, I think, that Ralph Lauren could do something like that.”

Polo Ralph Lauren apologized for the controversial ad in a statement (photos here) but claims it had nothing to do with the end of the Filippa’s contract, which was explained “as a result of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract with us.”

Filipa, who worked for Ralph Lauren since 2002, is concerned about the damages that image might cause in her career and its impact on the public. “I think they owe American women an apology, a big apology,” she said. “I’m very proud of what I look like, and I think a role model should look healthy.”

Former wrestler Captain Lou Albano has reportedly died at home under hospice care on Wednesday (October 14). Louis Vincent Albano was 76 years old. Wrestler’s Rescue is collecting donations to be forwarded to the Albano family for medical expenses.

Dallas pilot Jake Pavelka was officially announced as the new Bachelor during Dancing With The Stars results show on Tuesday (October 13). The 31 year-old Bachelor, who was eliminated by Jillian Harris in the last season of ‘The Bachelorette’, is hopeful he will find true love in one of the 25 women that will battle for his attention on the show.

“I’ve dated some really amazing girls, but I’ve never been successful at finding that one girl,” Jake says, “and I saw how the whole thing comes together, the process with Jillian. I saw how the process works and I believe in it. That’s a unique way to meet somebody. I have a really good life now, but I would love to share it with someone.”

Jake’s parents reveal he likes adventurous women. “He likes a girl that is spontaneous,” mom Sallie says. “The way he put it to me, he would like a girl that can work in the yard and then put on a pretty dress and go out to dinner.”

But what Jake really wants is an energetic fun girl that can keep up with him. Jake said, “I fly on the weekends, play golf, go to a movie, but I’m not a couch potato. That’s the one thing I have to make these girls understand — I have a lot of energy. I love salsa dancing. Country dancing on a Thursday night in Dallas is really fun, too. I enjoy working with my hands, creating or building something, landscaping and doing garden work. Even if [a woman] didn’t enjoy doing the things that I do, I would want her to be a part of them because I love them so much.”

Jillian Harris, who is happily engaged to her final guy Ed Swiderski (rumored to be cheating on her with at least two girls), said, “Jake has a huge heart and he’s very sensitive. He isn’t afraid to show his emotions. The world will see how far he is willing to go to find the right person.”

The new season of ‘The Bachelor’ with the tagline ‘On The Wings Of Love’ (Jake is a pilot… how cute!?!) premieres earlier next year (January 2010).
