New York Yankees Plan Parade After 2009 World Series Win
The New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 in Game 6 to win the 2009 World Series on Wednesday (November 4). After 9 years the Yankees have a reason to celebrate their 27th title with a parade that will start on Broadway at Battery Place at 11 AM ET and continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Chamber Street on Friday (November 6).

Hi Rita.
I don’t really understand what all the hub bub is about with New York winning baseball’s version of the Stanley Cup. The league is not legite. There is not an even playing field. Smaller market teams have no hope in hell of ever winning. there is rampant steroid abuse that the league refuses to deal with. Without a salary cap that limits salaries smaller market teams assume a player development role for larger market teams. The credibility of league is now on par with pro wrestling. However, celebrate your World Series win. But does’nt it feel a little a little tarnished with some much unfairness and corruption? I really don’t think there’s much call for celebration.
