A woman from Connecticut, Charla Nash, who was a victim of a chimpanzee attack back in February, sat down for her first interview and revealed her disfigured face (graphic photo and video below) on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ on Wednesday (November 11).
The 55 year-old woman was attacked by her friend Sandra Herold’s chimp because it felt protective of its owner and didn’t recognize Charla. However, Charla confesses she is not angry and just wants to forget about the terrible incident.
“I don’t even think about it,” Charla told Oprah. “And there’s no time for that anyways because I need to heal, you know, not look backwards. I want to get healthy. I don’t want to wake up with nightmares.”
Charla, who is currently eating through a straw and blind, continues to get treatment at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Her only hope is a complete face transplant (WARNING: graphic photo and video below).
