Project Runway Season 6 finalists, Althea Harper, Irina Shabayeva and Carol Hannah Whitfield, showed off their 13-look collections at the Fall Fashion Week at Bryant Park in New York City and finally a winner was announced on Thursday (November 19). Irina’s sporty-glam line earned the top spot of Project Runway 2009!!

“I can’t believe it!” the newest Project Runway winner exclaimed, jumping into Tim Gunn‘s arms. “I’m definitely proud of myself,” she said. “I think this deserves a pat on the back, because I did have some stiff competition.”

Irina takes home $100,000 in cash, a spread in Marie Claire and a trip to Paris, the capital of fashion. Irina’s model Kalyn Hemphill also gets to pose for a fashion magazine photo spread. The second place went to Althea and Carol took the third final spot.
