Come on…the Heisman is supposed to go to the most outstanding player in America. It’s a shame that the voters have filtered their views so as to only look at QBs and running backs. Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska has had more of an individual impact on the game than perhaps any player I have ever seen. Nebraska had the worst defense in it’s history only 2 years ago. This year, they may have had their best defense ever, and the most obvious reason is Suh. Despite having their worst offense in decades, 3 of NU’s losses were by one or two points. 16 - 15 to Va Tech on a last minute TD in Blacksburg. 9 - 7 to Iowa State despite 8 turnovers. 13 - 12 to Texas in Arlington on a LAST second field goal. Suh has been double teamed almost every play all season, and has still DOMINATED the line of scrimmage. This team was just an average QB away from going 11 - 1, and Nudomukong Suh was the force behind NU’s success. This Hurcules of a man is unstoppable yet humble, an outstanding role model, and rightfully deserves the Heisman Trophy as the most outstanding football player in America.
