TMZ is reporting that Tiger Woods told a good buddy that he needed to go to Zales to get his wife Elin Nordegren a ‘Kobe Special.’

During the conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, “I have to run to Zales to get a ‘Kobe Special.’” The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a “Kobe Special” was. The reply — “A house on a finger.”

Tiger was referencing the massive rock that Kobe Bryant bought for his wife Vanessa Bryant several years ago when Kobe was accused of raping a Colorado woman. Kobe did admit to cheating on his wife with the woman, in a consensual way.

Back in 2003, Kobe gave Vanessa a $4 million dollar, 8-carat purple diamond ring.

Vanessa, 21, was dazzled and Kobe, 24, beamed, reports PEOPLE. “They looked very happy together,” says the jeweler, Raffi, who also designed the couple’s wedding rings. “When they left, Kobe and Vanessa were holding hands.”

I think we can now look for the term ‘Kobe Special’ to become slang for – I’ve cheated on my wife and need an insanely expensive pile of diamonds to smooth this over ring.

Did Tiger get the ring yet? Is that why he has refused to talk to the Florida Highway Patrol? Because he was out shopping on Black Friday for the perfect make-up ring?

The media loves to avoid the truth. Kobe actually bought the ring before the Colorado incident even came out. I found this out on smokinggun.com during the trial. … And hey, I’m not going to pretend to know who Kobe is…but we haven’t heard one thing about him since that time. People make mistakes and hopefully he’s spending his lifetime making it up to her.
