A civilian police officer by the name of Kimberly Munley, who was stationed at the base, shot one of the Fort Hood shooters, Major Nadal Malik Hasan, four times, potentially saving dozens of lives, before getting hit by a bullet.

Sergeant Munley is currently receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and comes out of as one of the heroes of the Ford Hood massacre [read more details]. The shooter identified as Major Hasan, an army psychiatrist due to be posted to Afghanistan, shouted “Allah akbar”, which in Arabic means “God is great” as he opened fire.

Hasan had argued with some of his comrades and was clearly against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and had been trying to get out of the Army but he wasn’t known as a risk at the base.

Victoria Prince, the current girlfriend of Britney Spears’ baby daddy, is reportedly pregnant with Kevin Federline’s baby. Several sources are reporting the volleyball star started feeling sick during their recent trip to Vegas and that she has been ill on and off ever since.

Victoria allegedly took a pregnancy test – test was positive – but when she told K-Fat, he did not seem happy to hear the news. In fact, Kevin, who will star in reality show Celebrity Fit Club, doesn’t want to be a daddy again because he already has four children from previous relationships with Britney and Shar Jackson. The news hasn’t been confirmed or denied by Kevin or Victoria.

The soccer game of the New Mexico Lobos against BYU Cougars for the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament took a nasty turn when Mexico’s #15 Elizabeth Lambert showed her true colors on the field.

After a ponytail take down on BYU’s Kassidy Shumway, Lambert followed that up by tripping a BYU player at the edge of the box, resulting in one of her New Mexico teammates “accidentally” kicking the ball right in her face.

This woman should be kicked out of sports for good or maybe start a new career in boxing! And where was the referee when all this happened? Is he completely blind? Where’s fair play? It was absolutely unbelievable. In the end BYU won the game (1-0) and will play the finals.

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” are back with a new season, a lot of drama, catfights, Lynne Curtin Jewelry Line and a new addition Alexis Bellino. Alexis is married to Jim Bellino, a self-made entrepreneur, and is the mother of three young children, 3 year-old James and 20 month-old twins Melania and Mackenna. Other cast members are: Tamra Barney, Jeana Keough, Lynne Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson and Gretchen Rossi.

“[Alexis Bellino] seems like a real, true, genuine person,” Gretchen Rossi said. “I’ve really enjoyed having her as part of the cast, and her and I have become really good friends. There’s always drama when you put all of girls together, and Alexis brings some spice to the group.”

Vicki cannot stand Gretchen and does not approve of her relationship with current boyfriend Slade Smiley, which began shortly after the death of her fiancé (more details). “We’ve fallen madly in love. It’s nothing we ever expected, [but] he’s taken really good care of me and helped me through a really emotional time,” said a smitten Gretchen.

Gretchen and Tamra’s relationship isn’t the healthiest either. The two can barely look at each other. Gretchen is ready for a fight. “I decided I’m gonna be a little bit stronger,” Gretchen said. “I’m gonna be cordial. I’m gonna be civil, but I’m gonna let her [Tamra] know how I feel. I’m gonna let her know that the way I was treated last year wasn’t right.”

Jeana will be out for most of the season since she is dealing with serious financial problems but she will return for season 6. You just cannot miss this season of the original “Real Housewives”!

Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan, who was an Army mental health professional, has been identified as one of the shooters involved in the Fort Hood massacre that killed at least 12 people and wounded other 31 on Thursday (November 5), according to BreakingNews.

One shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.

President Obama said, “It is difficult enough to lose” soldiers overseas, but it is “horrifying that they should lose their lives at an Army base in the U.S..” Obama added, “my prayers are with the wounded and the families of the fallen.”

UPDATE: Malik Nadal Hasan Suspect In Fort Hood Shooting

Twelve people are dead and other 31 were wounded in a mass shooting at Fort Hood, which is one of the largest military complexes in the world, in Texas on Thursday (November 5) – watch videos below. There were at least two shooters, one in custody, another on the loose, and possibly a third one hiding in building 42006.

It is still unknown if the victims were all soldiers or if there are some civilians involved. The victims were taken to Metroplex Hospital on Fort Hood. There is no word yet on the identity of the shooters or the victims.

UPDATE: White House correspondent for Fox News, Major Garrett, is reporting that one of the shooters is a US soldier. Garrett tweeted, “The Ft. Hood shooter was US soldier. Obama will address tragedy in remarks at end of Tribal Nations Conference at Interior Dept.”

UPDATE 2: Obama called Ft. Hood shooting a “horrific outburst of violence.”

Here are my quick thoughts and opinions on Carrie Underwood’s third album ‘Play On’ that was released earlier this week.  I listened to the album once and put down my thoughts on each song as I heard it.

I am sure some of these songs will grow on me with more listens, but here is what I thought the first time through:

1. Cowboy Casanova (Carrie Underwood/Mike Elizondo/Brett James) – Very catchy and similar to ‘Last Name’ from her last album. It was the first single released off ‘Play On’ and could end up as the most popular tune from this album.  I like to call this “angry-spurned-countrock.” Carrie is warning other women to stay away from men that “…look like a cool drink of water,” but instead are a “candy coated misery.”

2. Quitter (Max Martin/Shellback/Savan Kotecha) – Smooth and easy paced. This song gives Carrie’s voice a chance to shine through.  A lighter song than on her previous albums. This song is decent but one of the weaker songs on the album.

3. Mama’s Song (Carrie Underwood/Kara DioGuardi/Marti Frederiksen/Luke Laird) – A beautiful song that thousands of daughters will have played at their weddings from here til the dusk of Dixie.  ”Mama you will never lose me/giving me away is not saying goodbye.”  This song is a reassurance to a mother about her daughter finding a man, falling for said man, and marrying him.  It’s peaceful and likely bring reassurance to many worried mothers as their daughters find love and create their own families. go on reading »

Actor Eddie Cibrian, who recently separated from his wife Brandi Glanville (photos) after admitting having an affair with ‘Northern Lights’ co-star LeAnn Rimes, and 24 year-old aspiring actress Scheana Marie Jancan have been reportedly having an affair for more than three years. Scheana was also romantically linked to musician John Mayer [Scheana Marie Jancan Photos].

Scheana and Eddie’s relationship did not end when he and LeAnn officially assumed their relationship after both filed for divorce from their spouses. “Eddie has recently started seeing Scheana again,” an insider tells Life & Style exclusively, noting that they were together on Oct. 21 around 1 a.m. “He told her he’s only with LeAnn for the publicity and that he plans to end things with her soon.”

Eddie is a real dirty bag! People make mistakes, falling in love with someone else happens but deliberately betraying two women and their trust for publicity is just too low!

Singer Rihanna confessed she felt embarrassed about the situation she got herself into and the type of person she actually fell in love with in an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer for Good Morning America on Thursday (November 5).

The singer also admitted that she went back to her abusive boyfriend Chris Brown, who also gave a tell-all interview to air on MTV (watch video), eight to nine times before the incident that stole her privacy and completely changed her life. Rihanna finally left Chris when she realized the impact her decision could have in other women’s lives since her story of abuse became public.

“When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result into some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be responsible … If Chris never hit me again, who’s to say that their boyfriend won’t … kill these girls? These are young girls. I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls until that happened. It was a wake-up call for me, big time, especially when I took myself out of the situation,” Rihanna says emotionally.

She also offers advice to “any girl who is going through domestic violence: Don’t react off of love. F love. To come out of the situation and look at it third-person and for what it really is, you then make your decision. Because love is so blinding.”

This interview is revealing and emotional. For the first time Rihanna spoke up about what happened, what she went through and how she feels in an attempt to set a good example for other women victim of abuse – it is not easy but ‘F love!’ The complete Rihanna interview will air on ABC’s ’20/20′ on Friday night (November 6).
