The Florida Highway Patrol wants to examine Tiger’s wounds and get his statement but also wants the videotapes from the various surveillance cameras at his house or at least from the camera that shows Tiger’s exit and subsequent crash.
Tiger continues to refuse to talk to the authorities. A new witness report reveals Tiger, who had a cut on his lower lip, was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and no shoes. When EMT workers arrived, Tiger was lying unconscious on the ground and his wife Elin Nordegren was asked if he was taking any medication. Elin recovered two pill bottles from the house but she did not know when Tiger had taken them.
Some facts continue to not make any sense in this case but the Woods have made it pretty clear they want to keep things private. What are they hiding? Domestic abuse? Drugs? Scandalous affair?
In the meantime, Tiger has confirmed he won’t play in the Chevron World Challenge golf tournament this week and he will not compete in any more events this year.
Tiger wrote on his website, “I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week … I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”
Tiger and Elin probably don’t want to do their dirty laundry out in the public eye but their silence is making things worse. Someone said that the moment Tiger wins another tournament this minor crash mystery will be forgotten, I completely disagree because the minute his wife goes to her husband to congratulate him we will be all wondering “Did she hit him or didn’t she? Is that for show?”
