“The Real Housewives Of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson recently revealed that she was abused emotionally, verbally and nearly physically by her first husband, Michael J. Wolfsmith, in an exclusive interview for Life&Style.

Vicki, who was really young when she first got married, had two children with her first husband, a son, Michael (23), and a daughter, Briana (22), who she accuses of being often under the influence of alcohol during their eight-year marriage.

Vicki tells Life & Style, “He was an alcoholic. He abused me verbally. He had many affairs during our marriage.” During one especially horrifying incident, while Vicki was holding baby Michael on her lap, “he went to hit me,” Vicki says. While he didn’t end up striking her, she was consumed with fear. “I was 23 years old and pregnant for the second time,” Vicki recalls. “I was really scared.”

Vicki finally decided to leave Michael when he almost hit her. She claims she had a revelation: “It was a pivotal point in my life,” she explains. “I didn’t want to live my 30s the way I’d lived my 20s. I wasn’t happy. I wasn’t loved.” Vicki has been married to Donn Gunvalson for more than 15 years now and she knows he is the true love of her life. Happy ending!
