The 73 year-old Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was punched in the face by a 42 year-old man identified as Massimo Tartaglia (photo below), a political activist, during at a rally in Milan, Italy, on Sunday (December 13).

Berlusconi, whose wife Veronica Lario announced the divorce after another of his sex scandals, got a bloody lip and a couple of broken teeth. He was promptly transported to the San Raffaele Hospital and will be kept under observation for 24 hours as a precaution.

Before being attacked Berlusconi told the crowd, “They paint me as a monster, but I don’t think I am one – firstly because I am good-looking and secondly because I’m a good guy.” A monster? No! Just a controlling, manipulative, allegedly corrupt politician! What else is new?
