Courtney Love has lost custody of her 17 year-old daughter Francis Bean Cobain again! The temporary guardianship of Francis was given to her grandmother, Wendy O’Connor (Kurt Cobain’s mother), and her aunt, Kimberley Dawn Cobain.

Keith Fink, Courtney’s lawyer, said, “All I can tell you as Courtney’s friend is that she loves her daughter more then anything in the world. Courtney will no doubt do what is best for Frances and will surely take her teenage daughter’s desire and feelings into consideration with respect to the legal guardian issue.”

The grandmother and aunt will look out for Frances personal and financial well-being at least for now. According to a neighbors, both Wendy and Kimberley are hard-working, respectful and responsible people, so Frances is in good hands and great company.

This is not the first time Courtney loses temporary custody of her daughter to her grandmother. The first time was in 2003 when Courtney was arrested for attempted burglary, drug overdose and a suicide threat. We can only hope the damage isn’t already done!
