Richard Heene was sentenced to 90 days in jail and a period of four years of probation for orchestrating the Balloon Boy Hoax, which kept the world glued to the TV screen and praying for the lost little boy Falcon Heene back in October 2009 (read more details here).

Richard will be allowed to serve his sentence on a “work-release program”, which gives him the opportunity to find work as a construction contractor but for his four-year probation the daddy is strictly prohibited from profiting from the hoax. The Balloon Boy mom, Mayumi Heene, was also sentenced to 20 days in jail that she will serve right after her husband completes his time.
