Bristol Palin Seeks Sole Custody, Levi Johnston Wants Media Circus
Former VP candidate Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are involved in a court battle for the custody of their son, baby Tripp. The teen mother doesn’t trust her irresponsible baby daddy, who is more worried about his public image and showing off for Playgirl (NSFW photos) than being a real father at the moment, and she is seeking sole custody.
Bristol tried to keep their custody battle a private matter by keeping the court proceedings closed for the best interest of the child. But Levi wanted to fight for custody in public and was granted his wish because there was no proof that the publicity could be harmful to their child. “I feel more comfortable in a public courtroom which will help everyone stay civil and be on their best behavior,” Levi said in a statement.
Levi allegedly wants shared custody of baby Tripp, while Bristol is asking for sole custody, child support and requested that his mother, Sherry Johnston, who was arrested on drug charges earlier this year, not to be allowed unsupervised visits. It is clear Levi is not yet fit to be a father, not when he is completely blinded by the Hollywood lights.

Good for her. Obviously she has matured beyond her years. If any of you readers think you got through your teenage years with a perfect record, think again. Try walking in her shoes for a while.I admire her and her family with how they handled the whole thing, considering how the media turned it into a propaganda thing. It was a very private matter, noone else’s business. and I don’t know how she endured the whole thing. Bless her heart. The only sympathy I have for him is: He was raised in a dysfunctual invironment which is probably why he is acting out the trash that he apparently is!!!

First of all, I believe the word is “blindsided.” Secondly, regarding your link to Sarah on Oprah, just because Sarah said something about Levi doesn’t make it true. That she is truth-challenged is well documented, and she has some work to do on her own parenting skills, so is hardly in a position to criticize anyone else on theirs. It would seem, as well, that between Bristol’s own forays into the media spotlight, her new public relations company, and her work for the Candie’s Foundation (given the provocative nature of the Candie’s clothing line and advertising), that she is just as concerned about her public image and just as willing to cash in on her sex appeal and 15 minutes of fame as are Levi and her mother. Last but not least, how private do you really think court proceedings between Jane Doe and John Doe with Mrs. Palin’s and Mr. Johnston’s lawyers’ names listed are going to be in this very small town? Mrs. Palin’s tactics are well known here, and Levi is wise to keep the proceedings open to assure he gets a fair hearing. He apparently has nothing to hide. Like the judge, I fail to see how any lasting harm will come to Tripp, who is so very young, and I see no reason why money or celebrity should buy the Palin clan treatment that is different from that of ordinary citizens in the same type of proceeding. The only way the proceedings will turn into a media circus is if you and Sarah’s other supporters continue to meddle in a matter that is between Bristol, Levi, and the court, and has absolutely nothing to do with you. Leave the kids alone.
I agree, who is sarah palin to judge her grandsons father, where was she when her daugter got pregnant, and was having sex if she was such a great mother that wouldn’t have happened.sarah palin is going to use her sarah palin status and people to have it her way it would do no good to keep the baby away from his father and this whole thing about her daughter company is just a way of helping her daughter make a pay check instead of getting a real job how many teenager open their pr companys at the age of 19, she would have not done if it wasnt for her mothers money connection. is better for it to be in a public court then behind doors where she (palin) would have control of things beacuse thats what she wants.
