Men’s shaving company Gillette is the latest of Tiger Woods’ corporate sponsors to either sever ties or lay off from using the embattled golfer in advertising.  The announcement comes one day after Tiger admitted to multiple infidelities against his wife on his website.

“As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing programs,” Gillette said Saturday.

Woods will be phased out from Gillette’s television and print advertising, and from public appearances and other efforts linking the two entities together, Gillette spokesman Damon Jones said.

While it may seem Gillette is canning Woods, the company refuses to say they are completely down with Tiger.  They claim they are just respecting Tiger’s decision to take time off from the game of golf.

As any ads featuring Woods expire, they will not be renewed. Jones said that did not mean the company was severing its ties with Woods. There had been no upcoming scheduled public appearances for Woods, he said.

Woods has been profitable for the company since he signed on in 2007.  Gillette likely wants to keep their options open with Tiger in case he is able to miraculously cure his failed public image.

Bumpshack’s 2009 Heisman Trophy winner is running back Mark Ingram from the University of Alabama.  Ingram won in our tightest Heisman vote ever over Stanford’s Toby Gerhart.  Ingram’s margin of victory was a single voting point.

Tim Tebow had dominated the Heisman race until the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated his Florida Gators in the SEC Championship game last Saturday.  Tebow dropped down to the 4th spot, just ahead of Nebraska’s DT Ndamukong Suh.

Swedish TV star Carolina Gynning, who is got famous after being filmed having sex on the British Big Brother, revealed she was contacted by one of Tiger Woods’ “agents” (friends who helped Tiger hook up with several ‘ladies’).

Jenny Sanford, who was nominated by Barbara Walters as one of the most fascinating people of 2009 (full list here), has announced she has finally filed for divorce from her husband Mark Sanford after he admitted to having an affair with an Argentine woman, Maria Belen Chapur.

“I am now filing for divorce,” Jenny Sanford said in a statement. “This came after many unsuccessful efforts at reconciliation, yet I am still dedicated to keeping the process that lies ahead peaceful for our family. I remain thankful to so many across this state and nation for their words of encouragement and prayers during this difficult time,” she added. “Please know the boys and I are doing well and are blessed with the incredible support of friends and family and bolstered by our faith and the unfailing love of our God above.”

After the scandal and e-mails between Mark and Maria were revealed, Jenny had already moved out of their mansion but claimed she wanted to try to work things out with her husband. Jenny had found out about the affair a few months before.

“18 And Counting” mom Michelle Duggar gave birth to her 19th child via an emergency c-section on Thursday night (December 10) after being rushed to the hospital with gallstone over the weekend.

Michelle and husband Jim prematurely welcomed a baby girl named Josie Brooklyn Duggar, who weighed in at 1lbs 6oz. Duggar’s rep told, “The most important thing right now is for Mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery.”
