Tallest Building In The World: Burj Dubai Tower PHOTOS

Burj Dubai Tower The World's Tallest Building Photos

Burj Dubai Tower, the world’s tallest building with more than 2,683ft and 169 floors, will officially open doors with a fantastic fireworks display today (January 4, 2010) even though it is not completely finished yet (photos below).

The hotel takes up the first eight floors with suites on the 38th and 39th. Residential apartments go up to the 108th floor – at about 1,300 feet. A number of the higher floors – up to the 160th – have been designated as office space, while there is a restaurant on the 122nd floor and a gym, with an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, on the 123rd floor – some 1,440 feet off the ground. On the 124th floor is the world’s highest observation deck. The Burj Dubai is also intending to host the world’s highest nightclub – on the 143rd floor.

WOW! Architect Adrian Smith is the man behind another Dubai exuberance. If you can dream it, you can do it, right? Who cares if the building is not perfectly working yet? Just book me a residence suite! I’m ready to move to Dubai right now!

Er… I thought they had changed the name from Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa or something after Abu Dhabi’s leader bailed Dubai out in last years financial crisis?

      Either way it looks amazing!

The building is awesome. Has it opened for public viewing? What is the building exactly for? commercial or tourist attraction.
