Brittany Murphy’s Mom Sharon & Husband Simon Monjack On Larry King (VIDEO, PHOTOS)
Brittany Murphy’s mother Sharon Murphy, who found the 32 year-old actress unconscious at the bathroom floor on December 20 (read more details), and her husband Simon Monjack gave a heartfelt first interview to Larry King, which will air on Larry King Live exactly one month after Brittany’s tragic death on Wednesday (January 20).
Simon is clearly having a real hard time copping with the loss of a loved one at such a young age and blames Hollywood for breaking his wife’s heart. “You want to know what broke Brittany Murphy’s heart? Hollywood broke Brittany Murphy’s heart,” Simon told King.
Simon said, “You wake up in the morning and it’s like a rebirth. It’s… there’s not enough time to… your dreams, be they good or bad, when you wake up and I reach out to touch or hold my wife and she isn’t there.”
Sharon recalls the tragic day she lost her daughter. She clearly remembers that even before the doctors came in to tell them the sad news, they already knew. They had felt it. “Three people came in. Sharon and I were holding each other. And they let us know at the same time that they — that she hadn’t made it,” Simon revealed. “But we knew before that,” Sharon said. “It was just — you know, you felt her life go out of her.”
Brittany Murphy was laid to rest on Christmas Eve at the Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn Cemetery. A large amount of prescription meds was found at the house but preliminary autopsy results indicate the actress died of natural causes. The official cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology reports.
