Jay Leno Body Slams David Letterman

Jay Leno Monologue NBC The Tonight Show

Jay Leno, obviously a bit fed up with David Letterman taking numerous shots at him the past two weeks, responded in kind, Wednesday night, when he went after Dave and his philandering ways.

“Letterman has been hammering me every night. Going after me … Hey Kev, you know the best way to get Letterman to ignore you? Marry him. He will not bother you. He won’t look you in the eye.”

Ouch!  Letterman has always been bitter towards Leno and no doubt fears Leno returning to his old time slot to compete against him again. Leno beat him in the ratings for a solid decade.  Letterman had claimed the top spot since Conan O’Brien took over for Leno last fall.

Leno will be back on The Tonight Show on March 1st.

I use to split my time between Leno & Letterman then ended up watching Letterman at that timeslot when Leno went to prime time. Watching Conan is a waste of time. I am getting tired of all Letterman’s jokes about Leno so don’t watch it as much recently. I think he knows that Conan is not any competition for him but Leno is.

I watched that. That was funny. Mr. Letterman asked for it.
