MTV’s “The Real World” star Erika Lauren Wasilewski, who joined the show for its 23rd season in DC, has recently admitted that she did indeed fake skin cancer to get attention and sympathy from her ex-boyfriend.

“Um, there is some truth to what you’re hearing,” Wasilewski told Time Out. “Yes, it happened. Yes, I regret it. If I could take it back, I would. I was going through some severe emotional problems at the time. I was lashing out and craving attention wherever I could. It was really destructive.”

The 22 year-old, who comes from Illinois and is a Columbia College graduate, seriously has issues – she even claims she got professional help after the fake cancer stunt! However we do not think someone who is dealing with attention-seeking problems should be allowed to get in a reality show.
