Morgan Harrington’s Body Found, Missing After Metallica Concert (PHOTOS)
The 20 year-old Virginia Tech student, Morgan Harrington, who disappeared after traveling to the University Of Virginia for a Metallica concert on October 27, 2009, has apparently been found dead on a Charlottesville, Virginia farm on Tuesday (January 26).
Morgan was last seen at the Metallica concert outside the arena, when she was denied re-entry, around 8:30pm-9pm, and had been missing ever since. The skeletal remains haven’t been officially identified yet, but everything points to the missing student.
Gil Harrington, Morgan’s mother, told, “We don’t think it’s been proved definitively yet, but it’s most likely. So, we want to go and be on hand and see if that determination can be made. Or if we can help in making that determination.”
“I was hoping we would find her alive, but at least we won’t always be wondering for a lifetime,” she said. “We’re still kind of processing, trying to, although all this time, we’ve been trying to prepare ourselves for this endpoint”.
The owner of the farm, David Bass, claims he found the remains while he was checking the fences that keep cows from roaming. David initially thought it was the remains of a deer but decided to call the police when he realized they might be human. Our thoughts and prayer are with Morgan’s family. We hope they get their much needed closure.
