Spencer Pratt Supports Heidi Montag’s Plastic Surgery Obsession
“The Hills” star Spencer Pratt finally spoke up to defend himself and his “wife” Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery obsession that recently made headlines after she went under the knife to have ten different procedures done in one day. Spencer claims he told Heidi he thought she was beautiful and already perfect after a nose job and breast augmentation that was done a couple years ago, therefore he did not agree with her decision. “Anytime I hinted that it might be a little much or if I just asked if she was sure, I even felt like I was crossing lines,” Spencer told PEOPLE. “But everyone sees themselves differently when they look in the mirror. Nobody truly understands how she feels except her. I may not be okay with things, but it’s not my call. I’m not in charge of what she does with any part of her body. I’m her husband – not her owner.”
A beautiful 23 year-old girl who feels the need to totally change herself, the way she looks and become a plastic doll (photos here) is not exactly in control of her emotions and that led to an extreme decision that completely changed her life forever. As her “husband”, not her owner, Spencer had the right to intervene and help Heidi.
Spencer confessed that it was painful to see Heidi suffering and in pain after the procedures. “Right after … it was the worst experience of my life,” he said. “Nobody that loves a loved one should see that.” Heidi could only thank Spencer for his support now: “At the end of the day we do share a same opinion: It’s my body and I need to feel comfortable as a woman, as a person, and my inner beauty is always there and that’s what’s most important,” she says. “His support has really been a lot and made such a difference. I couldn’t ask for more.”

Heidi is sending the wrong message to young girls who unfortunately look up to her. If you don’t feel good with yourself, in your own body, the answer is not in an expensive shallow plastic surgery procedure. Heidi needs to get herself a good shrink before it’s too late.
