Michael Lynche aka Big Mike was cut out and replaced on American Idol Season 9 after his father confirmed that he had made it to the Top 24 after a list was leaked last week (Idol Top 24 Leaked List) during an interview for his local newspaper, The St. Petersburg Times.

Idol contestants and their families sign a confidentiality agreement to not reveal the results until they are broadcast. Big Mike’s dreams were basically shattered because his daddy cannot keep his mouth shut. Mike should have already been replaced by another talented singer from the Top 50 qualifiers. While one dream is over, another is born!

UPDATE: American Idol producers reconsidered and decided to keep Big Mike after all he had been through to get to the Top 24. Big Mike will be performing live along with the Top 12 guys on Wednesday (February 24).

UPDATE: Greg Oden On Nude Pictures: “My Heart Just Dropped!”

Portland Trail Blazers star Greg Oden is the latest athlete to take completely nude pictures of himself while admiring his incredible physique in a bathroom mirror and then decided to impress a lucky girl with his big HUGE “ego” by sending her those photos that were eventually leaked (NSFW photos and link below).

Apparently all the leaked nude photo scandals weren’t enough for people like Greg or Grady Sizemore (details here) to understand those compromising pictures always end up all over the internet. Are they embarrassed by their actions or do they actually enjoy the idea that a lot of “innocent” women (and men!) will end up seeing them in all their glory!?!?

“The Hills” star Spencer Pratt finally spoke up to defend himself and his “wife” Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery obsession that recently made headlines after she went under the knife to have ten different procedures done in one day. Spencer claims he told Heidi he thought she was beautiful and already perfect after a nose job and breast augmentation that was done a couple years ago, therefore he did not agree with her decision. “Anytime I hinted that it might be a little much or if I just asked if she was sure, I even felt like I was crossing lines,” Spencer told PEOPLE. “But everyone sees themselves differently when they look in the mirror. Nobody truly understands how she feels except her. I may not be okay with things, but it’s not my call. I’m not in charge of what she does with any part of her body. I’m her husband – not her owner.”

A beautiful 23 year-old girl who feels the need to totally change herself, the way she looks and become a plastic doll (photos here) is not exactly in control of her emotions and that led to an extreme decision that completely changed her life forever. As her “husband”, not her owner, Spencer had the right to intervene and help Heidi.

Spencer confessed that it was painful to see Heidi suffering and in pain after the procedures. “Right after … it was the worst experience of my life,” he said. “Nobody that loves a loved one should see that.” Heidi could only thank Spencer for his support now: “At the end of the day we do share a same opinion: It’s my body and I need to feel comfortable as a woman, as a person, and my inner beauty is always there and that’s what’s most important,” she says. “His support has really been a lot and made such a difference. I couldn’t ask for more.”

“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star Kourtney Kardashian, who gave birth to baby boy Mason Dash (first pictures) a little over a month ago, is clearly upset with OK! Magazine because she claims she never gave them an exclusive interview on post-pregnancy weight loss and accuses them of retouching her body and making it look she was back in perfect shape (photos below).

“They doctored and Photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not,” Kourtney tells Women’s Wear Daily.

Kourtney took to her Twitter page to set the record straight: “One of those weeklies got it wrong again … they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks!”

I like Kourtney’s attitude! Besides it’s not like she could hide the extra pounds they made disappear on the cover. The original photo has been revealed and it’s clear that Kourney hasn’t lost all her pregnancy weight and isn’t exactly in shape just yet. And it’s OK to not look like a Barbie right after having a baby!

UPDATE: “Bachelor” Matt Grant Exposes His Own Forbidden Romance

Former Bachelor Matt Grant, who proposed to Shayne Lames on “The Bachelor: London Calling” (season12) to dump her a couple months later, is currently working on his original idea, a reality series titled “Pimp My Bride”.

“[It's] an organic follow-up to the Bachelor,” the British financier says. “It’s about the groom being in control of the wedding.” Matt claims the show has already been picked up by Warner Brother and he is also considering the being part of “The Bachelor Pad”.

“They’ve asked me to possibly do this Bachelor Pad show,” Matt tells US. “It’s like Big Brother Bachelor with all the Bachelors in a house. I’ve thought about doing it because I’m obviously not famous anymore and it would give me fifteen minutes of fame!” We will see a lot more of Matt this year!

Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul has been offered a major $1 million development deal with ABC that would allow her to be part of Simon Cowell’s American version “The X- Factor” but only if she finally agrees to join the new “Dancing With The Stars” cast.

ABC has been trying to get Paula on DWTS for a few years and now that she is actually not on Idol is a great opportunity. Paula should definitely do it – she doesn’t have to prove anything anymore but she would quickly become the early favorite and most probably the winner of the new season, which starts in March.

Salvador Cabanas, a soccer player from Paraguay that plays for CF America in Mexico, was shot in the head in the restroom of a popular nightclub in Mexico City, the “Big Bar”, where he was with his wife on Sunday (January 24).

The 29 year-old is currently in a critical but stable condition after more than seven hours of emergency surgery, in which doctors weren’t able to remove the bullet. “We would do more damage if we tried to extract it,” Dr. Martinez told reporters at a news conference. “We cannot assure you that he is out of danger. He is young and healthy. That helps.”

An investigation is ongoing and two men have already been arrested in connection to the incident that was described as an attempted robbery, which was prevented when Salvador intervened. Our thought and prayers are with Salvador and his family.

The Undeserving is a pop-rock band from Toledo, Ohio that is becoming well known thanks to their song ‘Something To Hope For’ that has become the inspirational theme song for season 9 American Idol commercials.

The band is made up of brothers Clay Kirchenbauer (Vocals/Piano), Kyle Kirchenbauer (Drums) along with Brennan Willis (Lead Guitar), and Jimmie Getty (Bass).

The band also had an IDOL related hit last week with their own version of ‘Pants On The Ground,’ originally made famous by 62-year old General Larry Platt.  Platt introduced America to his song during his Idol audition two weeks ago.  The song quickly become a cult hit and was even sang by Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre after his team’s win over the Cowboys in the NFL Playoffs.

Shirley Halperin of the L.A. Times asked the Kirchenbauer brothers, fans of Idol for several years, some questions about their favorite Reality TV singing contest:

Of all the “Idol” alumni, who appears on your iPod most often and what song?

Kyle: Carrie Underwood’s “So Small.” Huge chorus. Plus, she’s from a small town like us and she is really cute.

Name a finalist who should have advanced further but didn’t?

Kyle: John Stevens. That guy had class. Long live the Leprechauns!

Who’s your favorite judge?

Kyle: Simon. Honesty and constructive criticism — it’s very important to have someone in this line of work give you both, and more important to listen to it. Kara seems to be quite opinionated as well, and I like that about her.

Actor James Mitchell, who played Palmer Cortlandt on All My Children for thirty years, died Friday from pneumonia and pulmonary disease in Los Angeles.

I grew up with my mom watching this soap all of the time so I felt like I almost knew Palmer Cortlandt like a relative. I at least knew most of his vices and lovers from second-hand viewing over my childhood.

He also had a very successful Broadway career working for Agnes de Mille.

Mitchell is survived by his longtime manfriend Albert Wolsky, an award-winning costume designer in his own right.

Actor Pernell Roberts, who rose to fame in the 60′s on the hit Western TV show Bonanza, has passed away at the age of 81 in Malibu.  Roberts had been battling cancer.

Roberts played the good looking Adam Cartwright on Bonanza from 1959-1965 (202 episodes).  He also appeared on Trapper John, M.D., The Paper Chase, Hawaii Five-O, Mission: Impossible and many other television shows and films.

Comedian Chelsea Handler is a single woman once again. Handler has cut loose of her live-in-boyfriend Ted Harbert.

Harbert is the CEO of Comcast which owns the E! Network and Chelsea’s popular show, Chelsea Lately.

The couple began dating back in 2006, right before Chelsea Lately premiered on E!.  Naturally rumors flowed then, just as they are now in the wake of Teddy getting dumped.

Will Handler be on E! much longer?  Will her next boyfriend be Rupert Murdoch and Fox?  I think most of us are pulling for Chuy.
