Good Charlotte star Joel Madden and his longtime girlfriend Nicole Richie are finally officially engaged to be married. Nicole made the announcement during her appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman on Monday (February 15). The two are currently busy planning a summer wedding.

Joel also confirmed the news on Twitter, saying, “Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same.” Joel and Nicole started dating back in December 2006 and they have two beautiful children, Harlow and Sparrow.
