OH NO! Elton John is back! In an exclusive interview for Parade Magazine, Sir Elton John talked about love and his relationship with his partner, David Furnish, drugs, being misunderstood, loss and, oh my, religion. Everybody knows if you want to be controversial, you just say whatever you think about religion or Jesus Christ.

Elton, who recently performed with Lady GaGa (another gay icon) at the 2010 Grammy Awards (watch video here), went a bit further and claimed Jesus was gay! Uh oh!

Elton John, The New American Idol Judge?

Elton told Parade, “I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems. On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East — you’re as good as dead.”

A statement like this will cause a lot of controversy: Christians will be outraged, the Vatican will be furious, while in the Middle East, Elton would be “as good as dead” (his words not mine!). Elton also says at one point there is a lot of hate in the world and he is right! People of the world, Elton expressed his opinion – it’s just an opinion, a point of view – and it won’t change the fate of the world or anyone’s convictions.
