Simon Cowell said she is a good singer but will that be enough to become the next American Idol? Tim Urban was not initially on American Idol’s Season 9 Top 24. The “Orphan” Chris Golightly was disqualified due to an old contract (read more details here) and Tim took his place in the Top 24.

Tim finally proved he deserved his second chance when he did a fantastic performance of David Cook’s “Come Back To Me” during the American Idol Hollywood week auditions (watch video below).

Chris Golightly, best known as the American Idol “Orphan” (watch video here), earned his spot on American Idol’s Top 24 but we didn’t see him making through the rounds in Hollywood or the final verdict. Why? Chris was reportedly disqualified due to a misunderstanding related to an old contract.

Apparently Chris had a contract with a Boy Band until June 2009 but he failed to warn the producers of the show about it and therefore was disqualified. There is no official statement at the moment.

Chris was actually shown on the Top 24 and Top 12 guys group shot at the end of the show (guy with curly blonde hair in the photo above) but mysteriously disappeared during the individual “booty shaking” introductions, while Tim Urban took his place on American Idol’s Season 9 Top 24.

There is some good news: Michael Lynche aka Big Mike will not be disqualified after his father revealed he was on the Top 24. American Idol producers reconsidered and gave Big Mike another chance. He deserves it!

Director James Cameron might just be bored at this point.  After making two of the biggest films of all-time, Titanic and Avatar, the talented filmmaker has confirmed rumors that he is turning his mega-futuristic movie Avatar into a novel.

He says the book version of “Avatar” will follow the film version “quite closely” in terms of the plot. But the novel will also include “interior monologues” and provide details about the characters and Pandora.

Cameron said he first considered writing the book when he was filming the movie. “I told myself, if it made money, I’d write a book,” the director said.

Avatar has made over $670 million domestically and $2.4 billion worldwide.

The Sacramento Kings traded shooting guard Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, Hilton Armstrong, and Sergio Rodriguez late Wednesday night to the Houston Rockets for former all-star Tracy McGrady, power forward prospect Joey Dorsey, and Carl Landry according to sources.

Martin became expendable with the emergence of 2009 first round draft pick Tyreke Evans, who is the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year (ROY).

On first glance it appears that the Rockets easily won this trade, at least on paper. McGrady has become an expiring contract.  Houston gets four quality players in return for two (Dorsey and Landry).

A couple of hours after the official announcement the golfer will be holding a press conference on Friday (February 19), Tiger Woods finally emerged when he was caught jogging (no wedding ring) with a friend near his home in Orlando, Florida.

Tiger wears a complete Nike jogging gear, which is just too convenient since Nike decided to not drop the athlete when the sex scandal broke. TMZ also notes these are not paparazzi pictures but were rather taken by famed sports photographer, Sam Greenwood, for Getty Images.
