Socialite Gigi Jordan killed her eight year-old son Michael Jude Jordan in a failed murder/suicide in Room 1603 of the Peninsula hotel on Fifth Avenue. The boy, who appeared to have been dead for awhile, was found face-up on the bed near his mom with hundreds of prescription bottles around the room.

The wealthy Manhattan mom, who lives in the Trump International Hotel & Towers on Columbus Circle, was apparently very disturbed by the end of her marriage and feared a custody battle. Gigi and her son checked into the five-star hotel on Wednesday night. Gigi paid cash, put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door and the two never left the room.

Gigi contacted her aunt in Belgium via e-mail and threatened to kill herself and the boy. It was the aunt who called the NYPD, which sent officers to check her home. They eventually tracked her down and when they found her with the dead boy by her side, she had a faint pulse and was babbling incoherently. On the way to the hospital, Gigi asked for a lawyer.

Actor Charlie Sheen, who is going to be charged with a felony after the domestic violence incident on Christmas Day, reported his black SUV stolen earlier this morning and, incredibly, a couple hours later it was found at the bottom of a cliff near Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles.

Apparently Charlie knew his SUV had crashed when he got a phone call from his remote diagnostics company and he alerted the police. The fire department inspected the scene and found no one near the wreckage. The unidentified suspect is currently on the loose.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan opened up about her personal demons to Niecy Nash in an exclusive interview for The Insider on Thursday (February 4). The 23 year-old is a secret hoarder and may be using it as a way to cope with the estranged complicated relationship between her and her father, Michael Lohan.

“I just need to get rid of … stuff,” Lindsay says. “That’s personal stuff that I have to work on.” Lindsay’s life is a complete mess! She needs help to get rid of all of that stuff, daddy included!

“There [are] a lot of people that are there for the wrong reasons,” she tells The Insider. “I started to realize a lot more was being taken from me than was given. It became more draining than anything else. In this industry people build you up to knock you down.”

What could have been a dream for most women – hundreds of pairs of shoes, designer clothes and thousands of bags – is a complete nightmare for Lindsay. It’s all cluttered all over her new home! “This is my home,” the 23 year-old actress said. “I just want to be much more serene in here and clear.”

Mother Dina Lohan claims her daughter needs help cleaning up and organizing her things so she can finally get some peace. “My father used to say a disheveled room leads to a disheveled mind,” Dina says, “We’re donating a lot of it to charity. Some of it will go on our Web site lohanhouse.com.”

Lindsay has been apparently too busy, working too hard, that she hadn’t had the time to go through all her stuff. Dina also defends her daughter, saying, “A lot if it is gifted so it’s not necessarily stuff she buys. Like, a company will send five pairs of jeans. So we’re going to donate items like that.”

The actress understands that cleaning her house will help her emotionally too. Lindsay said, “When everything is in its place then I will be able to breathe.” Hey Lindsay! I can do some cleaning for you! Call me!!

Former basketball player Todd Leary was arrested in connection with a multimillion-dollar real estate title scheme and was charged with 17 felonies, including conspiracy to misappropriate title insurance escrow funds.

The 39 year-old, who had worked for a title insurance broker found guilty of a $2.7 million scheme, is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail in Bloomington. A source reveals Todd’s former teammate Brian Evans helped investigators to uncover the scheme.

According to PageSix, American Idol producers are desperate to hire radio star Howard Stern to replace Simon Cowell, who will be embracing a new project (the American X-Factor), on the next season of the show.

A source connected to “Idol” said, “It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even nastier than Simon.

“They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him.”

The brutally honest highest paid raid host announced that his exclusive contract with Sirius XM Radio ends in January 2011 and he is open to other offers. However Howard isn’t exactly excited about getting a new job that would require him to travel the country and live in Los Angeles during a big part of the year.

Howard is probably playing hard to get in an attempt to make a good deal with Sirius and then consider if he wants or not to do Idol on the side. He recently said, “I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down . . . I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens.”

I would love to see Howard as a judge. If you think Simon is mean and nasty, Howard would be over the top honest with no fear of hurting anyone’s feelings. He would be merciless!

USC Trojans head football coach Lane Kiffin, known as “D-Bag Deluxe” to thousands of University of Tennessee fans, has received a verbal commitment from 13-year old California QB prodigy David Sills.

While at Tennessee Kiffin offered a scholarship to Vol safety standout Eric Berry’s 13- year old brother, Evan Berry, according to the Orlando Sentinel.  Berry gave him a verbal as well.

What are the odds of the nomadic-mediocre coach Kiffin actually still being the USC coach in five years when Sills would enroll?

And why would you, as a 13-year old kid, want to commit so early? Schools change, coaches change, your own interests change, and five years down the road for a 13-year old is FAR, FAR away.  It has to simply be an attention/fame grabbing tactic for now.

With all of that said, a verbal commitment is about as binding as a coaching scholarship at the University of Tennessee.

In related news, Kiffin also sold his youngest kid down the river for a tuna on rye and a Cherry Coke.

Scarier thought for this kid right now: 1) ended up at a juco in five years or 2) continuing on the path to be the clone of Jon Gruden?

“Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen is expected to be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault in connection to the domestic violence incident on Christmas Day (December 25, 2009). Charlie, who allegedly threatened to kill his wife Brooke Mueller, will be criminally charger either Friday or early Monday (January 8).

“[Arnold, Chief Deputy District Attorney] Mordkin has previously told Sheen that he could be charged with felony menacing, felony assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief,” a Colorado court insider confirmed to RadarOnline.com. “The fact that the arraignment is happening at the District Court is an indication that at least one felony charge will be placed against him – misdemeanors are handled in County Court.”

Ironically Brooke and Charlie will be attending a hearing to relax the protective order that prohibits any contact/communication between them in Colorado on Monday. Brooke is currently still recovering from pneumonia and they have two children in common.
