The 26 year-old country star confessed she was afraid of ending up all alone and unhappy. “I didn’t want to be one of those people who has an amazing career but ends up alone and unhappy,” Carrie told. “I want to be happy. I want it all.”

A Florida woman has accused NFL Hall-of-Famer Michael Irvin with sexual assault according to the Miami Herald.  The alleged rape took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on July 4th or 5th, 2007.

In the suit, the woman said Irvin bought her alcohol to get her drunk, then lured her to his hotel room. That’s where he and another man tried stuffing money into her clothes, the suit said.

She said Irvin and the other man insisted on sexual favors. She said no.

That’s when the unidentified man held her down and covered her mouth, according to the suit, then Irvin raped her, she said. When Irvin was done, the other man forced her to perform oral sex.

The woman filed a civil suit on Thursday in Florida’s Broward County (think counting ballots and hanging chads).  The local district attorney is still investigating the claim and likely will rule one way or the other on whether to file charges against the Dallas Cowboys wide receiving great.

Irvin, through his lawyer Larry Friedman, has denied the charges and described them as “totally untrue.”

Irvin is currently a TV analyst for the NFL Network and is in Miami for coverage of the Super Bowl.  The timing of the allegations was very likely made at this time to take advantage of the massive sports media in town for the massive sporting event.

The Tennessean is reporting some rumors and rumblings of who will perform at the 2010 Bonnaroo Music & Art Festival in Manchester, TN.

Flaming Lips — Frontman Wayne Coyne told Spinner that the band was performing two late-night sets at this year’s Bonnaroo — one of which being their take on Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Dave Matthews Band — The band has left a conspicuous gap in their tour schedule from June 9–14, and whaddya know — Bonnaroo takes place June 10–13. They last appeared at the festival in 2005. Wale - The acclaimed rapper includes a June 10 date at Bonnaroo on a recent tour itinerary. Paul Simon — LiveDaily reports that he’ll be on the bill this year, then proceeds to get our hopes wildly high by speculating that Paul McCartney might be coming, as well. GWAR(?) — Twitter and message boards are rife with claims that Gwar frontman Oderus Urungus announced that the costumed metal marauders would be at Bonnaroo this year, but we’ve yet to see a confirmed report or hear audio of this announcement. One thing’s for sure — it’d be an unusual addition.

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal and Laura Govan, the fiancée of Gilbert Arenas who was recently charged and booked for felony gun possession (mug shot) after an incident with Javaris Crittenton in the locker room, have been reportedly having a secret affair for months (other sources claim their relationship is five years long!).

Laura and Gilbert’s relationship has been very complicated with nasty child custody battles, several break ups but it was finally settling down before very sexually explicit e-mails between Shaquille and Laura were leaked. In fact, Laura might have been the real reason Shaunie O’Neal filed for divorce. Laura and Shaunie used to be good friends! Ouch!

Shaq reportedly also had torrid affair with Vanessa Lopez (details and photos), who is now suing him for harassment after dating him for more than five years, and Dominica Westling (photos), a beautiful Swedish model.

Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson’s cause of death was determined as natural, a result of diabetic ketoacidosis, which is a severe state of insulin deficiency. The 30 year-old socialite’s body was found several days after she passed away at her apartment on January 4, 2010.

Sources tell TMZ, Casey was not talking her insulin shots. She also didn’t exercise, follow her diet or take other meds she needed. Casey had been hospitalized twice before for diabetic coma.

Actress Brittany Murphy died after going into cardiac arrest in her home on December 20, 2009. The official cause of death has been revealed as accidental, which means it could have been prevented if someone had taken her to the hospital. It’s sad to see someone die so young but it’s even sadder knowing that something could have been done to prevent the tragedy.

According to TMZ, the drugs found in her system were both prescriptions including medicine for cramps and over-the-counter meds including cough syrup. The primary causes of death were the pneumonia and severe anemia but self-medication pushed her over the line.

The LA County Coroner finally revealed Brittanny Murphy’s official cause of death. It has been ruled an accidental death caused by “community acquired pneumonia,” iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. “How injury occurred” is described as “drug intake”.

There are still some question that haven’t been answered like why wasn’t Brittany being accompanied by a doctor when she had severe medical conditions and was experiencing several abdominal pains for months before her death. According to TMZ, a source told the police someone would deliver a sealed, manila envelope with the name”Lola” to Brittany’s house every Friday filled with prescription medications in bottles.

Former Presidential candidate John Edwards has allegedly lost his temper and ended up beating his cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth Edwards during a heated argument around Christmas holidays, according to the National Enquirer.

This was the final straw for Elizabeth, who is still considering the possibility of charging him with domestic violence if he does not sign the divorce papers. However Elizabeth is also accused of getting physical during several marital discussions.

“John lost his temper big-time,” revealed a close friend of Elizabeth. “She has the divorce papers drawn up, but she can amend them to charge John with domestic violence. She’s holding that over his head right now – and he’s scared. Elizabeth is in control.”

Another source revealed: “Elizabeth has slapped John in the past during fights over his extramarital affair with Rielle. She was so tormented by John’s cheating and lies that she lashed out physically at him many times, even slapping him. On a couple of occasions, when the fights became heated, she grabbed him by the shoulders and screamed, ‘Why, why, why?!’

“Elizabeth would break down in tears and try to make John explain why he was throwing his family and political life away. During one of the confrontations, Elizabeth grabbed his arms and shook him so hard that John had to restrain her.”

John and Elizabeth’s marriage was completely doomed after he admitted the paternity of Rielle Hunter’s baby and new rumors of more cheating and lying came out. John is also reportedly the star of a graphic sex tape, according to his former loyal aide Andrew Young (read more details).

Actor Brad Pitt is reportedly regretting his decision to leave Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie, but he has to stay with Angie for their six children (Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne), according to OK.

Despite Brad and Angie’s display of chemistry and happiness at their latest public appearance at the Director’s Guild Awards, Ian Halperin, author of “Brangelina: The Untold Story”, continues to claim their relationship is over and that they will only announce their spilt when no one “when no one expects it.”

Meanwhile, Brad is reportedly still completely madly in love with Jennifer. Yeah, right! He pretends to be happy with Angie for the kids but Brad has been actually secretly spending more time with Jen. And Angelina is threatening to take a bottle of pills if Brad leaves her but at the same time she yells at him and promises he will never see the kids again. Seriously? It’s all soap opera material…
