American Idol semifinalist Crystal Bowersox may not be well enough to perform tonight at the Idol’s Top 10 girls’ night and will be most probably disqualified. Ryan Seacrest and Idol’s executive producer Ken Warwick discussed the possible scenarios after they learned that Crystal’s condition might be more serious than what was originally reported (read more details).

Warwick said that they could try to do a pre-taped performance or chose one of her performances from the previous rounds but the truth is the only thing that is fair to do in a competition like this is, unfortunately, disqualify the contestant. Crystal is one of the early favorites and expected to go far on Idol. It would be a tragedy if her dreams were shattered like this! But Crystal’s health is the most important now!

Ryan just tweeted they still do not know if Crystal will be able to sing in less than an hour but they are planning for either way. If Crystal can’t make it and is disqualified, only one girl will be eliminated on the results show on Thursday (March 4).
