The American Idol Season 9 Top 8 Girls competed on stage for a spot in the final 12 on Tuesday (March 9). Siobhan Magnus performed The Animals’ “House Of The Rising Sun” as a surprise to her father, who she grew up watching play it behind the piano (watch video below).

Siobhan slowed it down and impressed the judges. I wasn’t really impressed this time! Sorry! Simon Cowell agreed with me – Siobhan looked and sounded very old-fashioned and it was kind of “weird” and “boring”. Anyway this girl deserves a spot in the final American Idol top 12.
