Tiffany Shepis, Corey Haim Ex-Girlfriend, On Drugs & Death (PHOTOS)
Horror film actress Tiffany Shepis, best known as “scream queen”, was engaged to actor Corey Haim for some time but his addiction to prescription meds and the lack of desire to get clean led her to call off the engagement. Tiffany is shocked by her ex-lover’s death but she knew he was on a self-destructive path.
“I was trying, like everyone wants to do, to be Mother Teresa and help somebody, like Corey [Feldman] did and tons of other people in the past,” Tiffany says. “I moved him out to Arizona thinking it would help and get him away from everything and the people who were setting him up to fail.”
“It didn’t work out,” she says of the move to Tucson. “I broke everything off before he left. There was just no progression, and if somebody doesn’t want to get better…”
Tiffany and Corey announced their engagement to her family on Thanksgiving 2008. Even then Corey’s addiction was painfully obvious and it was already completely out of control. “He was completely gone,” she tells E! News. “He kept disappearing and everyone was like, ‘Where is Corey?’ He would just go hide away…be in the bathroom.”
Tiffany’s sister Becky remembers Corey as someone really sweet who really wanted to be with her sister and be part of their family. However, whenever Becky visited her sister at their place, Corey was a completely different person. “He was always out of it,” Becky admits. “He always had a glazed-over look. He kind of just looked hazy, not all there.”
When Tiffany finally realized she wasn’t able to force Corey to change, their relationship was over. The two regained contact when Corey returned to LA in early 2009. Their relationship/contact was always complicated and tumultuous.
“I would go back and forth,” Tiffany says of their communication. “I would get insane phone calls, insane emails. Like stuff that you can’t even imagine a person saying to another person. And then I would run into him and he would look half OK and look like he’d gained some weight. I think he had like little mini, two-week instances of sobriety and then hard-core falloffs.”
Corey and Tiffany stopped speaking six months ago. Corey was rumored to be dating reality star Daisy de la Hoya during the last couple of weeks (read more details) before his tragic death from an apparent accidental overdose on Wednesday (March 10).

iam really messed up at the moment well to tell the truth ive been messed up since the 10″th of march this year since cor died. iam his number 1 fan that has spent over £1200 on most of his movies past and present, but i wont allow myself to beleive that he has gone, i cry myself to sleep every night thinking of his million dollar smile and his open mouth trademark. he was the biggest teen in the 80″s along with the late river phoenix, but i beleive if corey feldman didnt let his much older beasty pedophile best freind rape corey haim when he was 14 he would never had went down that path of drugs. but what upsets me more is that feldman is still very close to this pedophile and wont stick him in to the police. iam really asking myself now was feldman the brother like freind he said he was with haim, i mean they have been soooo close for 26 years and feldman didnt try to make any effort to attend haims funeral in ontareio toronto were haim was born. lets all boycott feldman he is soooo fake. anaway rest in peace corey ian haim i hope you have found peace at last, and my heart goes out to his mum judy, his dad bernie, his sister carol and his half brother daniel lee haim. i also hope judy beats her breast cancer and fights to find the man who is responsible for raping corey when he was a wee boy, i find it sick that feldman wont tell anyone who his pedophile freind is, i hope feldman and his beast of a freind rot in hell. corey ian haims dedicated number 1 fan.
