The Kansas Jayhawks were upset in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday by #9 seed Northern Iowa.  Many believed Kansas, the overall #1 seed in the tournament, would win the entire thing.

So what happened to Kansas?  Well I think we can look directly at what happened at their last regular season home game against Kansas State when assistant coach Kurtis Townsend provided tickets to mediocre porn star Samantha Ryan to sit courtside.

Supposedly the two had randomly sat next to each other on the plane and discussed Kansas basketball.  Townsend then gave his business card to Ryan to contact him for tickets in the future.  This became a national story when Ryan tweeted about her great seats during the game.

So the Jayhawks simply fell victim to the Samantha Ryan Curse!! We will now see how long and damaging that plane ride was, not only for Kurtis but for Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk nation as well.
