Tim Urban “Sweet Love” American Idol Top 10 R&B/Soul (VIDEO)
The American Idol Top 10 finalists, who were mentored by Usher, had to tackle some classic and iconic R&B and Soul songs during the live show on Tuesday (March 30). Tim Urban smiled his way through a performance of Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love” (watch video below).
Tim is adorable! What else can we say? He is not the best singer in the world but it wasn’t that terrible. Randy Jackson said Tim needed more vibrato and swagger. Kara DioGuardi said it was too Broadway and Vegas (she means he sounds like Zac Efron!). Tim kept smiling when Simon Cowell jumped in to say it really doesn’t matter what the judges say because Tim smiles and he will return next week. Hilarious!

I think that Tim did better than expected with this song. While there wasn’t much by way of emotion it definitely was in tune.
