The American Idol Season 9 Top 8 Guys battled on stage for a spot in the final 12 on Wednesday (March 10). Lee Dewyze is back to his comfortable zone with the guitar and his own rendition of Owl City’s “Fireflies” (watch video below). Lee’s voice is absolutely amazing. Kara DioGuardi thought he made it his own and improved the song but Simon Cowell wasn’t particularly impressed.

Late actor Corey Haim, who passed away on Wednesday from a drug overdose, was dating VH1 reality television star Daisy de la Hoya the past two weeks.

“I’m sooooooo devastated right now,” de la Hoya tweeted this morning. “This is the worst day ever I can’t believe this.”

The two started dating publicly after a date to the Playboy Mansion two weeks ago.  The two had been friends for a short time before that.  Daisy had been a fan of Corey’s since watching The Lost Boys as a little girl.

De la Hoya apparently wanted to help Haim with his struggles. “Daisy knew Corey was doing a lot of drugs—especially prescription meds,” our source says. “She thought he was kind and talented, and she wanted to rescue him. She became his confidant over the last few weeks. He told her a lot.”

De la Hoya was the runner-up to winner Ambre Lake on the second season of Bret Michael’s VH1 reality dating show Rock of Love.  She went on to get her own VH1 reality dating show called Daisy of Love.

Daisy has previously dated celebs Bret Michaels, Joshua Lee, Dave Navarro, and David Amerman.  She is the niece of American boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya.

“Bounty Hunter” co-stars Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, who were also rumored to be secretly dating, posed together for a dirty and sexy (?) 13-page pictorial that was shot on a ranch outside of Los Angeles and will be featured in the upcoming issue of W Magazine (April 2010).

Jen and Gerry’s pictorial is described as “role playing in the searing heat of the California desert where damsels aren’t always in distress and lawmen sometimes break the rules.” WHAT? It just sounds like someone is trying too hard to “play” sexy! The photos were taken by Steven Klein, who ironically also shot W’s controversial Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie “play house” pictorial for the July 2005 issue of W (photos below).

Reality star wannabe/model Adrianne Curry went on an absolutely ridiculous and sad tirade on Twitter when she learned about actor Corey Haim’s tragic death of an accidental drug overdose earlier this morning (March 10).

Adrianne tweeted, “Corey Haim died.That is what happens when u cant grow the fuck up&kick the habit.sadly,most who start dont stop.A waste of beautiful life Drugs dont kill people,people kill themselves w/drugs..party in their teens&continue2do so through their 20′s and 30′s, leading2death”

“it is a disease that addicts go into KNOWINGLY, as a former addict, I find it hard to feel sorry for those making bad choices, “ she added. “People may think I am insensitive,but I have been there.Was selfish&didnt care who I hurt or what I destroyed..I only cared about ME&drugs”

Adrienne continued, “never bashed Corey’s character,just his decisions…He may have died naturally,but my opinion still applies to others using..period.. people are2kind2addicts,enabling them2death,like Anna Nicole. Stop celebrating trainwrecks.Start telling them what they dont wanna hear.”

Adrianne’s intentions might be good but now it’s not the time to point fingers, especially because Corey’s family and friends just suffered a great loss and nothing anyone can say will get him back. It was plain insensitive. Corey’s mom, who is reportedly fighting cancer, basically saw her son die today. We should all respect her and Corey’s memory!

A 33 year-old teacher, Amy Victoria Beck, from David Starr Jordan Middle School, was arrested on suspicious of lewd and lascivious acts with a child of 14/15 years old and is currently being held on $400,000 bail.

The English and social science teacher allegedly had sex and oral sex with a then 14 year-old student. The boy was interviewed by the police and it was confirm the acts did occur between March and September of 2009.

Amy Beck, who is a married mother-of-three, will be arraigned on four counts of unlawful sex with a person under 16. If convicted, Amy can get up to seven years in prison.

The season two of the MTV’s controversial reality show, Jersey Shore, will start shooting on March 20 but until now not even the cast knew the location. According to RadarOnline, Jersey Shore’s Guidos and Guidettes will head to South Beach, Miami.

MTV has reportedly ordered the cast to get blood work done and is finally doing some background checks, which should have been done on the first season. Apparently a part of the cast isn’t even Italian but who cares when they have naked/nude pictures that can help sell and boost ratings of the show.

Actress Alyssa Milano also reacted to her ex-boyfriend Corey Haim’s tragic unexpected death from an accidental overdose this morning (March 10). The 37 year-old actress took to her Twitter to bid her farewell to the Lost Boys’ star.

Alyssa tweeted, “Just woke up to the sad, sad news that Corey Haim passed away. RIP sweet boy.” Corey and Alyssa dated for more than three years back in the 80s (from 1987 to 1990). Fellow actor Corey Feldman, who considered Haim his best friend and brother, released an emotional statement via his blog - read full statement here.

Actor Corey Feldman was shocked with the news that his good friend and “The Lost Boys” co-star, Corey Haim, had tragically passed away from an apparent accidental drug overdose earlier this morning (March 10).

Corey Feldman posted the following message on his blog:

I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face.

I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful,beautiful,tormented soul, who will always be my brother,family, and best friend.

We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. British actor Andy Whitfield, the star of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”, has been diagnosed with non-Hodkin’s lymphoma and will begin cancer treatment immediately. The cancer was detected in an early stage when the actor did a routine checkup before the filming for the second season of Spartacus began in New Zealand.

The production of Starz hit show has been postponed to allow Andy to undergo treatment. The doctors are confident on Andy’s full recovery since the cancer was detected in its early stages and is therefore “very treatable”. Get well soon, Andy!!
