Actor Corey Haim, who died of a drug overdose this morning (March 10), had been sick with flu-like symptoms for the past couple of days. When Corey got out of bed at around 1 am, he immediately collapsed in front of his mother, who promptly called 911. The 38 year-old actor was pronounced dead at 2:15 am at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California.

The authorities recovered four prescription bottles from Corey’s room that were not related to his illness but no illicit drugs were found. Corey had been battling prescription drugs addiction for years and everything leads to believe it was an accidental drug overdose.

Actor Corey Haim, who died of a drug overdose (more details/photos) today (March 10), was caught leaving the Haute in West Hollywood where he was with his Lost Boys’ co-star Corey Feldman a few weeks ago (February 18)-watch video below.

Corey told TMZ he was “doing well” and that he had been clean and sober “for awhile”. He claimed he was looking forward to new movie projects. Corey’s mom found him in his apartment this morning and immediately called 911. Corey died at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California.

Rapper Earl Simmons aka DMX was arrested again (first time in the year of 2010) for several violations of the terms of his probation by using illegal drugs in Arizona on Tuesday (March 9).  DMX is currently being held without bond.

DMX has been arrested multiple times in the past couple of years for different reasons but drugs are the rapper’s biggest problem. His lawyer, Gary Jenkins, told TMZ DMX needs help to battle his drug addiction and believes only Dr. Drew can help. Dr. Drew, please save DMX!

Jenkins said, “He’s [DMX] been battling addiction for some time and he’s in need of treatment. He’s a talented man … we’re praying for him. We’re hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him.”

“The Lost Boys” actor Corey Haim has died of an apparent overdose, which was most probably accidental, at the St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California, on Wednesday morning (March 10). Corey was 38 years old. The police was called at around 4 am to investigate the actor’s death. There is no more information at the moment.

The American Idol Season 9 Top 8 Girls competed on stage for a spot in the final 12 on Tuesday (March 9). Lilly Scott closed the girls’ night on Idol with a performance of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall To Pieces” (watch video below). She gave a whole new modern sound to the music. Lilly is original, confident and talented but Simon Cowell thought it was a risky song choice and didn’t have the wow factor.

Didi is adorable. We love her! But to win American Idol you need a powerful and strong voice because the lullaby voice is great but not for a competition like this. Didi sounds just like Norah Jones or Katie Melua. Not original at all. The judges loved it and Simon Cowell even said it was a wow performance.

Randy Jackson said it was Lacey’s best performance in a long time but it was “sleepy” and “boring”. YAWN! Kara DioGuardi loved it and praised her song choice. Even Simon Cowell thought it was a good performance when compared to her previous performances, which were absolutely disastrous.

Siobhan slowed it down and impressed the judges. I wasn’t really impressed this time! Sorry! Simon Cowell agreed with me – Siobhan looked and sounded very old-fashioned and it was kind of “weird” and “boring”. Anyway this girl deserves a spot in the final American Idol top 12.
