Augusta National chairman William ‘Billy’ Payne had a few choice words for Tiger Woods in his opening remarks yesterday.  He stated unequivocally that, as a role model, Tiger had greatly let down children that follow golf.  He also went on to imply that Tiger should think more of his fans and be nicer to them on the golf course.

“It is not simply the degree of his conduct that is so egregious here,’’ said Payne. “It is the fact that he disappointed all of us, and more importantly, our kids. Our hero did not live up to the expectations of the role model we saw for our children.”

Wow, finally someone gets it and wasn’t afraid of getting terminated by Woods and his legal team.
