The American Idol Season 9 Top 9 were mentored by former Idol contestant, eccentric Adam Lambert, and had the privilege to sing some of the King Of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley’s classic songs during the live show on Tuesday (April 13). Aaron Kelly clearly doesn’t believe in himself and delivered a very poor performance of one of Elvis’ biggest songs, “Blue Suede Shoes” (watch video below).

Aaron did something different when he came out of his comfort zone and sang an upbeat song instead of another ballad but it just didn’t come out right. I don’t get it! Aaron did not sound younger, Kara DioGuardi! He sounded desperate! Simon Cowell thought Aaron’s performance was old-fashioned and too “karaoke”.
