Siobhan Magnus “Suspicious Minds” American Idol Top 9 Elvis (VIDEO)
The American Idol Season 9 Top 9 were mentored by former Idol contestant, eccentric Adam Lambert, and had the privilege to sing some of the King Of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley’s classic songs during the live show on Tuesday (April 13). The eccentric Siobhan Magnus became rather predictable with a rendition of “Suspicious Minds” (watch video below).
This is not the same Siobhan! She was better than average but I just didn’t get it. Where was her energy and fierceness? Kara DioGuardi says Siobhan’s “two voices” are confusing, while Simon Cowell thought she sounded old-fashioned and erratic. Siobhan defended herself against Simon’s comments saying she takes pride in being different and not put in a box with a label. I just wanted to tell her to shut up because that doesn’t explain her poor performance. Maybe our expectations were too high for Siobhan.
