American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox (aka Mama Sox), who is the favorite to win this disappoint season of the talent show, was decided to leave and quit the show a couple of weeks ago until host Ryan Seacrest convinced her otherwise.

The dramatic scene happened in the AI parking lot, when Crystal told Ryan she could not handle all the attention and competition and wanted to go home to be with her family, whom she misses terribly. Crystal is a single mother trying to make a better life for her baby boy.

Sweet Ryan told her Idol was like a business and if she wins, which seems very plausible, she will get a recording contract and become a millionaire. Ryan finally convinced Crystal to stay when he confessed, “The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house. You can buy your mom a house.”

We are so glad Crystal decided to stay. Idol needs her! The only person standing between Crystal and the Idol titles is Lee Dewyze… or Tim Urban’s insane fans!
