Bret Michaels Health Update: Dad Wally Sychak Speaks
Poison leader Bret Michaels’ father Wally Sychak speaks out for the first time since his son was hospitalized with a massive brain hemorrhage (read more details here) to reveal Bret is still in intensive care but doing well. Brett’s ex-girlfriend, Kristi Lynn, tour manager and both of his daughters are at his bedside in the hospital.
Wally spoke with Brett by phone on Friday (April 23). “I talked to him this morning,. He sounded upbeat and positive but they had him sedated,” Sychak told RadarOnline. “But he’s doing good. He sounded like my son.” Bret’s condition has stabilized but the next 24 to 48 are critical.
The cause of the brain hemorrhage has not been determined yet, however, doctors believe the bleeding and recent appendectomy are complications related to his diabetes (type 1). “We’re all keeping our fingers crossed and saying our prayers,” Sychak said, adding, “He just needs to be quiet now and get rested.” Our thought and prayers go out to Bret and his family.

My Prayers go out to Brett, his father, daughters one who he was very concerned about in past weeks and the rest of his family. I am a 54 yr woman that still loves to look at him and since he was on Donald Trumps show I have prayed he wouldn’t get kick off. he has shown that he has a talented side, good business side and a CARING side. I have a son 29 who has been an insulin dependent diabetic since he was 22 months old now on pump since he was 18. People can speculate is was from drugs as he is a rocker so there for drugs come into the pix. Back up I know for a fact NOT ALL musicians use drugs. Second all the nasty things written everywhere I seen those people have the freedom of speech yet they should think of the family right now. If there is a way to get all these well wishes to Brett or his family I am one who would love to pass a get well card to him.
