Oscar –winning actress Mo’Nique’s estranged brother Gerald Imes finally confessed he sexually molested his sister for years, starting when she was only seven years old, and publicly apologized to her on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Gerald claimed his sister was usually sleeping when it happened and he was doing drugs to mask his own pain since he had also been abused as a child. Mo’Nique was abused from the age of 7 till she was 11 and only came forward and told her parents at the age of 15 after a violent incident between her and her bother.

“I’m sorry, Mo’Nique. I’m sorry,” Imes said on The Oprah Winfrey Show. “I betrayed everybody’s trust. I broke that trust. I broke that bond.”

“I started using cocaine, heroin, alcohol at the age of 11,” he told Winfrey. “I used these drugs to hide my own pain, to hide my own fears … The drugs allowed me and afforded me the opportunity to hurt my sister.”

“I can only hope by coming forth today … that somewhere down the line … we can come back together as siblings,” he said. “I understand your pain. I truly think, let’s share this together and move on.”

Gerald, who inspired the actress to play the brutal mother in her movie “Precious”, spent more than twelve years in jail for molesting another girl. Mo’Nique refused to appear on Oprah or respond to her brother’s public apology, but she allowed her story to be discussed in the show to help other families going through the same thing.

Mo’Nique is reportedly pretty upset that her brother did not tell the whole story and lied. “She was particularly upset that Gerald lied to Oprah that he molested her while she was sleeping because she was wide awake and scared of him,” a source divulged. “Also, she is angry that he did not get any help or enter a rehab and she does not trust him around children.”

The 42 year-old actress is not willing to appear on Oprah to discuss this situation again. And Gerald’s confession and apology was still not enough to unite the family. A source said, “If anything it has made the situation worse between Mo’Nique and her family and she doesn’t know if she will ever speak to them again now.”

On knowing what works best for your body: Kourtney likes the few extra pounds she gained in her bottom while pregnant — so she’s found exercises that will help her keep her booty, but tone and lift it. “I want to try to do squats — stuff that will keep the booty up there,” she says about the classic power move that helps lift, tone and define the legs, quads, hamstrings and glutes.

On finding a sport that you like and running with it: “I’m big on running — just putting on my iPod Shuffle and going for a run by my house,” says Kourtney, who also uses the treadmill or elliptical at her mom’s house. Nutritionist Oz Garcia says choosing an enjoyable activity is half the battle. “You’ll be having fun and losing weight at the same time.”

On keeping your menu fresh: “Frozen yogurt tastes so chemically to me because I’ve been eating salads and salmon and chicken,” Kourtney tells Life & Style. “Fresh food is so much better.” Garcia agrees: “By simply cutting out processed foods, products with high sugar and the bread basket, you’ll shed pounds more efficiently.”

Poison leader Bret Michaels’ father Wally Sychak speaks out for the first time since his son was hospitalized with a massive brain hemorrhage (read more details here) to reveal Bret is still in intensive care but doing well. Brett’s ex-girlfriend, Kristi Lynn, tour manager and both of his daughters are at his bedside in the hospital.

Wally spoke with Brett by phone on Friday (April 23). “I talked to him this morning,. He sounded upbeat and positive but they had him sedated,” Sychak told RadarOnline. “But he’s doing good. He sounded like my son.” Bret’s condition has stabilized but the next 24 to 48 are critical.

The cause of the brain hemorrhage has not been determined yet, however, doctors believe the bleeding and recent appendectomy are complications related to his diabetes (type 1). “We’re all keeping our fingers crossed and saying our prayers,” Sychak said, adding, “He just needs to be quiet now and get rested.” Our thought and prayers go out to Bret and his family.

Actor Michael C. Hall‘s wife and “Dexter” co-star Jennifer Carpenter has revealed that her husband “fully recovered” from cancer and already returned to work. Michael won a SAG award and a Golden Globe earlier this year for his portrayal of the serial killer who targets other murderers in “Dexter” (more pictures here).

“I think it’s always easier to be the caretaker than being the one who needs the care taking,” Jennifer told HollywoodLife. “I’ve been so impressed. He’s been so strong and even about it all. He never got down about it or himself. He’s like, ‘OK, this is on my plate. I’ll take care of it.’”

Michael’s cancer is in complete remission after undergoing several chemotherapy treatments with success. The actor won the battle against Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is now more determined than ever. Welcome back, Dexter!

“Survivor Samoa” runner-up Russell Hantz, who is one of the most loved villains of all-time and currently stars on “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains“, was arrested for battery after attacking an unidentified woman at a street festival in Louisiana on Friday (April 23).

The ill-tempered villain allegedly “shoved” the woman to the pavement while partying at the Festival International de Louisiane and was promptly arrested by the Lafayette City Police. Russell has been released and claims the incident was a “misunderstanding”. He is contemplating to take legal action against the cops who arrested him.

An eyewitness told the police they saw Russell push a woman, who was working for the Survivor villain near a bar he owns in Lafayette, LA. The woman told the cops Russell hadn’t touched her but since they had a witness statement they were forced to arrest him anyway. Russell believes he was mistreated.
