The details of the tragic death of LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg haven’t been revealed since the authorities are currently investigating the case. Erica’s father, Mel Blasberg can’t really say what happened to his 25 year-old daughter but he hinted that the possible suicide may not be the correct answer.

“At first glance it looks like she might have taken her own life, but at second glance, something is very, very strange about it,” said Erica’s father, Mel Blasberg, by phone from Nevada. “We’re waiting for the police to make an investigation, it’s a pending investigation. Either way, I lost her and it’s impossible to deal with.”

We don’t know the details. However, Erica was 25 years old with a successful golfing career in front of her and it doesn’t seem she was suffering from depression or had any serious personal issues. We also don’t know if there is a boyfriend/girlfriend involved. Was Erica murdered or was she the victim of a very tragic, unfortunate accident?

UPDATE: According to TMZ, a friend of Erica found her body in her bed on Sunday. Father Mel claims his daughter was very happy and excited to be playing a golf tournament in Alabama this week. Erica had already packed her brand new golf bag in the car for the trip.
