Who was voted off American Idol? Last night (May 11), the American Idol Season 9 Top 4 finalists, who were mentored by actor/musician Jamie Foxx, performed some of the greatest songs from the movies in a night dedicated to “Seventh Art” – watch videos below. Another contestant will be forced to leave the competition on the results show tonight (Wednesday, May 11). And our Top 3 will be revealed.

Former American Idol season 5 star Chris Daughtry will return to the Idol stage with his band Daughtry. Also back is Fantasia, Idol season 3 winner, who will perform her new single, “Bittersweet”. Rock legend Bon Jovi will take over the Idol stage to deliver the most incredible performance of the night. Great band! We can’t wait!

2010 American Idol 9 Top 12 Guys (BIOS, PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

Who will get the boot on Idol tonight? This is it! The final three will be revealed tonight. Unless something completely shocking and unexpected happens, Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze, who performed an incredible duet last night (videos below), will be safe and in the TOP 3. That means Michael ‘Big Mike’ Lynche and Casey James will be in the bottom two.

Big Mike has proven to be a more consistent performer. On the other hand, Casey has the fantastic guitar skills and the looks. Who should stay and who should go home? That is one tough question. I’m torn between these two. They have both been in the bottom 2 before. They are completely different talents. Big Mike was saved by the judges earlier on the competition or he wouldn’t even be here. Unfortunately, I believe Big Mike will be kicked off.

UPDATE: Here we go. This is American Idol! 37 million votes. Our Top 3 will be revealed soon. Fantasia sings “Bittersweet“, which is kind of ironic after all the ups and downs she has been through since she won the Idol title.

UPDATE 2: The classic Ford video with our fabulous four on vacation. The top 3 will be allowed to go back home and be the stars of their hometown. They want to go back to their homes and families. Nice! It will be an emotional journey. The contestants families are on stage, cheering for their Idol.

UPDATE 3: The results: OMG!! Casey James is SAFE! In the top 3. NO way. That was too easy. Will Crystal and Lee be in danger? We still believe Big Mike will be voted off… but we are not as sure as we were before. Casey was the first of the four to secure a spot in the TOP THREE.

UPDATE 4: Daughtry performs “September”. Frontman Chris Daughtry is one of the most successful Idols of all time. Chris leaves the fab four good advice: stay true to yourself and never take anything for granted.

UPDATE 5: And we want more results. Lee Dewyze is SAFE and in the final three of American Idol Season 9. I’m so happy Lee is safe but this was just not expected. Big Mike Lynche vs. Crystal Bowersox: who will get the boot??

UPDATE 6: Bon Jovi is on stage. Idol hopefuls, watch and learn!

UPDATE 7: Big Mike Lynche vs. Crystal Bowersox. Crystal is in the Top 3. As we predicted, it’s the end of the road for Big Mike. We spent good moments with Mike. And we loved his duet with Casey last night. Congrats, Big Mike. He sings “Will You Be There” for his baby girl and his wife! Aw. Sweet.
